Has all the things you should be looking for in a probiotic - esp being delay-released!
There are a few key points to look for when shopping for a probiotic:* Number of strains - you really want one with 10 or more as the different strains benefit in different ways* Count of organisms - 40/50 billion is ideal• Method of delivery - will the live bacterial actually survive consumption to benefit you?So with those things in mind..I am very pleased with what this product offers. 13 different strains, 50 billion microorganisms and a special delayed-release capsules to survive the stomach acid and get where they need to be to benefit your body and keep your GI tract functioning well. This point is a unique factor that sets it apart from many probiotics. If you are researching probiotic products, you probably already have a general understanding of their intent and, Id assume, probably are dealing with some stomach issues. As a person who was heavily affected by that, I know how absolutely terrible life is while going through it. For me, certain times my body would be so out of whack that anything I ate set it off. Almost instantly after eating something, my abdomen would swell up and I would be in so much pain and discomfort with a build up of trapped gas and bloating. I was terrified to eat anything, as I would typically go about 4 hours before I saw any relief. It's not living life at that point when all you can do is focus on how awful your body feels... At times, I almost wanted to remain hungry instead of eating and potentially setting things off again. It was a sad sad, anxious time :(Why do these things happen? Basically there are good and bad bacteria living in our bodies. Certain things trigger the bad bacteria to grow and outnumber the good that typically keeps them in check. One very big attribute to it is consuming high amounts of sugars - esp artificial sugar (think diet soda, terrible for you!)...that the bad bacteria love to feed on. When they become too powerful, thats when all the crappy GI problems occur. Taking probiotics daily keeps the good bacteria flourishing and you feeling like yourself. I can say that after taking this product continuously for weeks, I am feeling great without any food issues.*note that you DO have to keep this refrigerated...like many probiotics. failure to do this can make the capsules become useless.*also note that I received my bottle during a promotion at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review of my experience and opinion on it. everything I have stated is based completely on my personal experience and was not influenced in any way.

Multi-Strain, High CFUs, Delayed Release
Nearly everyone can benefit from taking probiotics. Science is showing more evidence all the time, indicating that probiotics in general are beneficial not just to digestive health, but overall immunity and mental health as well. Diet, illness, and even medicine can inhibit probiotic growth, or kill them outright. These beneficial bacteria live in your gut, helping you to break down food and supporting nearly every bodily system as they do. Mental health has been linked to the absorption of minerals, and an adequate bacteria level helps your body absorb what you eat. For years, people have taken probiotics in various forms to cure yeast infections and diarrhea caused by antibiotics. They are safe for nearly everyone, although if you have a medical condition which supresses your immune system, or are on immuno-supressants after transplant, talk to your doctor and/or naturopath first.50 Billion CFU: Whats a CFU? It's a "Colony-Forming Unit". A higher number indicates a greater number of helpful bacteria. Some brands have as few as 10 billion CFUs, or even fewer. A high number is not always indicitave of a great product, but an average adult should look for at least 25, and 50 is a great number if you're combatting illness or infection.13 Strains: Having more than three or four strains is important. some strains are better for fighting yeast infections in women. Others help digestive problems, and with different problems there. Still others are better for aiding absorption and supporting the immune system. Having several strains in one supplement gives greater benefit.Delayed Release: Stomach acid can kill the beneficial bacteria before it gets to where it is needed. Delayed-release capsules are vital in getting the probiotics through the stomach and into the gut. When I started taking probiotics, I was able to cut my heartburn medicine in half. Other family members take them to help prevent canker sores, general immune support, and to prevent recurring yeast infections. After several months with a few different brands, I'm finding that the things I've listed here as being important really are necessary. These pills are medium size, a little larger than a Tylenol but not nearly the size of my multi-vitamin.If you're just starting to take probioticcs, you may find that you have a couple days of stomach discomfort. This is normal, and is just your body adjusting to better digestion. Of course, if you experience anything persistent or beyoond "a little upset", stop taking and call your doctor - it's possibel you have something that needs to be checked before you continue taking the probiotics, such as an underlying infrection you were unaware of.I am a product tester specializing in natural products, and as such I did receive a discount on my first purchase of this product. I do consider thee full price of a product as I review, I do test and use anything I recommend, and I am never paid for or obligated to give a positive review.
