Difficult to understand but ,if you were a physician title says what is inside the book

One of the best books I’ve ever read, and written by one of my heroes.Simply beautiful the way Stephen Hawking’s mind works

The Grand Design brings together all the various strands of quantum theory & makes some startling conclusions; specifically that our participation in the universe creates our own experience.So scientists and those of a more spiritual persuasion have finally met in the middle to agree on the contribution and role of consciousness in material creation - they just use different words. There are however two fuzzy areas in the book, the first is the absence of any discussion of the actual mechanism of how our participation creates our own experience and the specific force or energy that makes this happen. It's as if science cannot bring itself to make that final leap to admit that this force or energy must come from ourselves. The second issue relates to the book's conclusion that the universe could have started all by itself, without any first cause. This conclusion uses a convenient device to argue that before the big bang, time and space did not exist and therefore the idea of something pre-existing does not make any sense.Although fascinating in its contribution to our increasing understanding of the role of mankind in the great sheme of things, it is still very clear from this book that there is still a long way to go before science can finally claim to have found a theory of everything. Perhaps it might have to shake off some of its remaining prejudices against the contribution of the more spiritual traditions before it can do so.

Un gran libro de vulgarizacion científica, que necesita un minimo de formación científica para poder entenderlo.Me gusto mucho y lo aconsejo.

Il libro è veramente fenomenale, spiegato con il solito stile irresistibile di Hawking. Un must per gli appassionati del genere. Inoltre impaginazione ottima su carta spessa e con illustrazioni a colori. Veramente ben fatto.
