ThunderLeash No-Pull Dog Leash (Small (12 to 25 lbs), Red)

My recently adopted Pit Bull was so annoying on walks. He is 70lbs and nothing but muscle. When using a harness he would pull, making walks less enjoyable. My sister recommended this leash she had used on her dog. Almost immediately he stopped pulling. It was night and day. He will still occasionally pull, however it is nowhere near as hard as when he only wore a harness. It performs great and it made of quality material. For the price you can’t beat it.

My dog was able to escape from traditional harness when I pull her forward with leash- harness would just come off over her head. This leash is perfect. At first I got the Small (12-25lbs)- she is 28 lbs. She chewed through it and leash was too short to walk her. I got Large for 25 lbs and over- much better! MAKE SURE 1ST BUCKLE IS SHORTENED FOR MAX SQUEEZE LENGTH AROUND TORSO. 2ND BUCKLE SHOULD BE 5” APART. Metal holder should slide between 2 buckles.

These work great and this is my second Thunderleash in about 5 years. I've had other leashes to prevent my dog from pulling, but this seems to work the best so far without a lot of extra straps on my dog. If he starts pulling, just a small tug lets him know to slow up.The reason I knocked it down a star was because of a weak point. The metal portion bent over time. I corrected it back into shape several times over the years with pliers. It eventually snapped at the point where it was always bending.I had this new one for a few months now and it seems to be holding up really well. Either my 85 lb. dog has gotten older and doesn't pull as much, or that part has been strengthened. Time will tell. :)

I never thought this would work..after dog training and so much money dumped into other leashes & harnesses-I wish I would’ve just bought this to begin with! What an absolute game changer..my 60lb muscular pitty (Porkchop) would pull me all over the place and make walking so unenjoyable, until now! It grips him a little bit when he pulls-just enough to make him stop and think..totally a gentle parenting method. 🥰

Product arrived quickly, and seems very well made. The hardware is sturdy and it's pretty easy to put on my dog. I was hoping for a miracle, but my heeler/hound mix is just as hard to rein in as she was with a standard leash. What seems to work best for her is a harness with a front leash attachment, but it rubs her skin raw under her front legs. I was hoping this leash would be a solution.

This product is well made and really easy to use and put on my dog. I had previously purchased harnesses with the front D rings that were supposed to stop a dog from pulling....not my dog she still pulled. I really felt that this leash would work for me BUT my hard pulling poodle did not care how tight the strap under her belly tightened if she saw a leaf she wanted to chase or a rabbit she would pull. If our walk lasted long enough, she would eventually tire and stop pulling a lot but since I am in my 80's my arm cannot take the constant pulling. Two products that have worked for me are the Canny collar or gentle lead collars which my dog does not like. She walks without pulling with both of these devices but since she does not like them because they go over her nose, I am always looking for something else for her. I will be going back to those products though because I need to be able to walk her comfortably and know that she is not being hurt. I WANTED TO WRITE THIS REVIEW BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH I RETURNED THIS PRODUCT I WANTED TO LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT THIS COMPANY WAS EASY TO WORK WITH AND I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH RETURNING THE LEASH AND RECEIVED A FULL CREDIT IMMEDIATELY.

The leash (Med/LG) is a bit bulky for my pup, though that's due to his size, he's easily in the gray area between small and med/large (beagle mix, larger than a PB), but works. He doesn't seem to mind it, not terribly anyway. Initially he tried to nip the lead, but that stopped within the first 45 seconds of the first walk. He's a very headstrong and scent driven dog, so I was hoping this would curb his quite blatant (albeit hilarious) pulling technique (he has what I refer to as 'Pull Mode,' alters his stance to get the extra 6 inches closer to whatever it is he feels he needs to sniff). It actually does help in that regard, pretty substantially - he still goes into his Pull mode but quickly corrects. It's not completely pull proof and I'm fairly certain it's due to his breeds that it won't really be effective as a training aid to outright stop the pulling, but it works when it's used. Compared to his standard rig, it's night and day. Basically it does what it's supposed to and it comes down to whether I want to spend the walk manually correcting him (which, let's face it, gets exhausting) or letting the ThunderLeash do the work for me. I vote the latter. It works exactly as intended! I think the lead length is fine - frankly if you have a Puller, you shouldn't have them on a really long leash in the first place. I read the couple of reviews that complained they thought the length was too short, for me it's actually a tad longer than what I've been using.The latch or bracket or ring (whatever we want to call it) is easy enough to use, putting it on and taking it off of Pups is easy.I'd recommend it to anyone with a puller, but keep in mind dogs can be stubborn, so this isn't going to transform your canine into an angel, but it will spare you the monotony of constantly correcting.If you're all about the arm workout and patience testing, then skip it.

Love this leash. Great quality, padded loop is comfortable and it’s easy to put on and off.

Niet wat ik had gehoopt of verwacht. Je hebt een erg korte looplijn over zodra je een grote hond hebt aangelijnd. Veel te kort en veel te stug materiaal. Erg teleurstellend

J'ai un berger allemand qui tire comme une brute, j'ai voulu tester cette laisse sans réel conviction mais ca marche très bien, il a arreté de tiré.Le système est une laisse harnais qui a chaque fois qu'il tire va serrer au niveau des cotes et faire comprendre sans douleur qu'il y a trop de pression dans la laisse.Attention elle ne fait pas de miracle, comme il est réactif, un chien, une voiture...il démarre et se fiche de la pression mise.

So far the only lead/harness that had made it bearable to walk my very strong & difficult rescue staffie x boxer. I have tried numerous different non pull/head control devices (that worked for my other rescue (staffie x mastiff) & this is the only thing that has really made a difference. He still pulled a bit but nowhere near as hard and this was on the first walk! Hopefully as he gets more used to it he will become even easier to walk.
