Simply elegant
What a beautiful item. My concerns about Visconti nib out of the box were not funded. This nib is just perfect, I already tried several inks and, as expected, some are just beautiful. The pen itself is so elegant.

Not What Was Advertised
This was a difficult review for me. The Pen is gorgeous and wrote very well out of the box. It wasnāt what I wanted though. I specifically ordered this pen as it was advertised as having the old Dreamtouch 23K PD nib. It doesnāt, it has the new in house 18K gold nib. While some may consider this a plus, I do not. I already have a pen with the Visconti, in house gold nib. So, while the pen is fine, in the end it isnāt what I wanted, or was expecting. I think it is incumbent upon the seller to update their advertisement instead of copying Viscontiās old write up onto their product description.

Cannot recommend Visconti fountain pen
Iām a longtime user of the Mont Blanc fountain pen. Visconti is much less expensive so I thought I would give it a try. I still usethe Mont Blanc so I could easily make a comparison between the two. The Mont Blanc can write on any surface, be at my notebook or for underlining on the many books that I own. The Visconti has given me endless frustration: despite the pen full of ink, it takes great effort to get it started. When started it flows irregularly, I have used both black and blue ink, and neither comes out smoothly. The pen is a constant frustration; so much so that I threw it into the recycling bin. if you like fine pens and have a good writing hand as I have stick with the Mont Blanc.

Grail pen at the right price.
Worth the wait, when you spend about half the MSRP.
