After only using the watering can once a week or so over a few months it has started leaking. This is probably due to its poor design - not made from a single piece of plastic, the bottom is glued on. I thought Haws were a quality company, my parents and grandparents had decades of use from their watering cans made by them.Also when I ordered this watering can it arrived without the rose/sprinkler, but Amazon kindly sent me a replacement for free, but now it is just another piece of plastic heading for landfill - if it had been properly made it could have lasted for many years.

UPDATE: I originally gave this product 5 stars as it seemed perfect for watering indoor Bonsai trees, but after only a few weeks, it has started to leak from the base. I realised that this isn't a puncture, but the base is actually a separate part of the can...if it isn't airtight it seems pretty useless. I have only ever put cold water in it, so I can't see why it should leak other than poor fit. I may have received a rare dud, but even at this price, I wouldn't take a chance on another of these.

Sadly this is not the quality product I was expecting. Within a couple of months there was a puddle of water underneath this item. The base and sides are sealed together rather than be made of one piece and the seal has failed. I will be phoning Amazon for a refund. Not what I would have expected from this make.

Looks great, doesn't it - clever design with a place to store the rose. Well, I bought two of these and they both developed a leak where the bottom is welded on. The leak can't be fixed - we tried everything, but they had to be binned. One lasted about two years and the other lasted three and a half years. Bear this in mind before you make a decision about buying one.

The one I bought from Amazon leaked badly around the base and was returned. I have another one that would leak if it weren't held together with limescale. Haws have made a plastic copy of their traditional brass cans, and it just doesn't work. Get a one-piece moulded can instead – not as traditional-looking but a good deal more practical.
