The Absolute Best Bathroom Reader
Are you something of a nerd or maybe just curious about everything under the sun? Every short subject in this book is condensed into one or two pages with great illustrations and facts you never knew you wanted to know until you read them. Look at the Table of Contents. This is really good stuff if you use your brain for more than following the Kardashians or watching sports all weekend. This is a couple of minutes of great info compacted into digestible chunks and delivered while you are sitting doing nothing. (Put down your phone!) I read and reread some things that I want to brush up on. Someone did a really good job of compiling all this wisdom, beauty and logic.

This is a great introduction to the Trivium
The trivium, first three of the 7 liberal arts. This is a great introduction to the Trivium! The Trivium is like a compass, to help you navigate the oceans of information that we live through in daily life. Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric are the keys to critical thinking. Learn how to think.Read the essay "The lost tools of learning" by Dorothy L. Sayers for some more context.

Excellent Content - Great Value
A very short and concise book, it covers six topics:1. Euphonics (how alphabets sound to a poet?)2. Grammar3. Poetic meter4. Logic5. Rhetoric (or how to make a point in speaking or writing)6. EthicsOf these, I particularly liked 2, 4, 5 and 6. These 'chapters' are actually reproductions of slim books available separately (cheaper to buy them together in this binding). Each section is written quite cellars, and serves as good reference / revision if you are already familiar with the matter. If not, it gives you a basic foundation, though it may require careful and focused reading. All the chapters are illustrated in a rather fun way. The writing style is also non-pedantic. Though the book is presented as a classic, the treatment of topics is quite modern and up to date. The binding is rather good - though I found the book a little heavy due to the good quality paper that's been used. The only complaint I have is that the publishers have had a bit too much fun playing around with fonts and typefaces. This can get a little distracting as multiple fonts on the same page make it look cluttered. Some font choices are rather wacky - e.g. a dripping font used for fallacies.Excellent value for money - definitely a book to keep in your collection or to gift to a friend.
