I purchased this for the BBQ and boy has it delivered. The magnet on the base is strong and you can position it anywhere on a metal surface without the fear of it falling. It has two light intensities and the long goose neck is great to adjust where the light shines. Great product, would however be even better if it was re-chargeable via USB or charger. Highly recommended

J'ai acheté cette lampe fin décembre 2020 en prévision de l'utiliser durant les belles soirées de 2021. Je m'en suis servie dernièrement et à première vue tout allait bien. Je l'ai laissé quelques jours à l'extérieur jusqu'à ce que je me rende compte que la lumière s'était allumée d'elle même. Depuis ce temps pas capable de l'éteindre plus que 5 minutes car elle se rallume constamment. Sa qualité de "waterproof " est vraiment discutable. Je déconseille totalement cette lampe pour BBQ.

I also purchased this barbecue light, and find for its price point to be an excellent unit especially when you compare it to others that are available. After reading some of the negative comments they seem to be about battery installation. After examining what can go wrong with installing the batteries I would recommend if the homeowner is unclear on how to install them properly to watch a video tutorial and/or have someone with a little more qualifications help with the situation. I also find that the customer service and their willingness to help correct small issues like this is exceptional.And if you’re wondering no I have no affiliation with this company I’m just at homeowner with a barbecue that needs a good quality light. And I’m happy I found this one.

This light would get 5 stars if it were easier to replace the battery. Ours lasted about seven or eight months, and I think I put Duracell long life batteries in it initially, not rechargeable batteries.The problem with it is that it is impossible to get it open again to replace the batteries. The only part of the light that I can get to, part is the very top where the plug coming from the gooseneck arm goes into the base.I think there might be, no there must be another point at which it unscrews into two separate pieces, because I know I put batteries in this thing. It just will not re-open.The top review and here is from someone who suggests going and watching a how to video or finding someone in the household who is more experienced with replacing batteries. Well, I am the battery person in our household, and it should not be this difficult, even using rubber grips, to get this thing open to replace the batteries.

This is a solid product. Large magnet base gives it better adherence to steel surfaces. Light is bright and warm. I did however discover that AA rechargeable batteries are just slightly fatter than normal AA alkalines. Consequently if you try to use rechargeables in the 3 battery cradle they make the assembly just large enough that it no longer fits into the cylinder chamber. Do not force it. If you do, you may not be able to get the battery assembly again.. Swapping the AA rechargeables out with AA Alkalines and it slides in just fine. So use AA alkaline batteries and not rechargeables for best results.
