## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this really hold up on the pad ears and back of the pad?**
A: Make sure all surfaces are clean before you apply.  DON'T put on too much.  No lubricant will last forever but I have found this product to be the best for brake parts that require a little lubrication.

**Q: Is this good to put on rubber parts, slider pins, clips and boots?**
A: Yes, this is a silicone based material that plays nice with rubber parts.  It is very thick though so I use a product called Haynes Lubri-Film just on the slider pins.  I use the CRC on the brake hardware and caliper pistons.  Once the CRC runs out though, I won't use it again because the tube delivery is just too much of a pain.

**Q: Can someone please post a picture of what the paste looks like? is it purple? is it like vaseline? is it like dish soap?**
A: It's a white sticky paste.

**Q: How is this product compared to Permatex Silicone Extreme?**
A: On paper they are identical.  Silaramic is currently a better value, at $2.55 an oz (5 oz bottle), compared to $3.45 an oz for Permatex (8 oz bottle).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Ultimate Brake system grease

I started using Silaramic in 2019 on my vehicles and since then for friends and family as well. I am on my second tube of it now, though one tube is enough for a lifetime of brake changes for most people. I waited a long time before I finally wrote a review on this because I wanted to see if it truly lived up to the hype. My review is split into two segments. Helpful Hint: Massage or knead the tube a bit to help mix it up if your tube has been sitting for a while Part One-The Street: A few of my cars have had Siliarmic on the caliper pins for several years. Even after all that time and mileage the grease has not dried out nor has it run off. The brakes remained quiet and have been wearing evenly, so the lubricity of Siliarmic is great. The calipers still move freely and smoothly even after a few years. This stuff will easily last the life of a set of brake pads and keep things moving freely. Part Two-The Track: So this is the part where Siliarmic has been genuinely impressive. I have been using it on a car used in endurance road racing events, these events are usually around 16 hours of racing. We have destroyed the pads and rotors on this car a couple times due to heat, to the point that we upgraded to larger rotors and calipers. Through all of this, I have always used Siliarmic on the brakes it has never failed. It has remained the same thick slick consistency it comes out of the tube. It does not dry up or thin out, it will easily last for two events with out needing to lube the pins. It just works. Short version: Just buy it, its worth the money and will keep your brakes working properly regardless of what you throw at them on the street or on the track.
