K remarked to himself how cheap the book he had bought earlier that year on Amazon was, and how the binding was quite adequate for its purpose. He didn't regret buying it for a moment.

I have strange feelings about this.One day I was reading this book in the London underground. A random woman (40-50) looked at me and asked if she could take a picture of me. It was pretty weird if you ask me, but I let her do it and after that I asked why would she do it. She said I look Kafkaesque. Strange, but ok.So this book as some magic to it for me. I liked it and it definitely put a mark on my life. Would recommend for an original read, since it's a bit different compared to the usual books.

I wanted to understand what the phrase Kafkaesque means. This book was delivered at a good price. I have only read one story so far; 'The Trial.' It was a little hard going, and the story was quite frustrating. I am now taking a break reading something a little lighter before trying the next story. Just as an fyi, even though the story is about 100 years old I found that several elements related to current times.

Now to be fair, the price on this is very good, so if all you care about is reading some great stories by Kafka then by all means get this. However, this edition is meant for schools I imagine as it's very cheap, but that also means it wares out very quickly, so my edition looks terrible and I've only read it once. So I won't be buying these editions again but if you are limited with money it's a great option

Ugliest cover. One of the best translations form what I hear. Even tho the translator says that he has messed with the scrutare of some long periods (which I don’t particularly approve) to suit better readability, the language itself flows better then the other translations I’ve read, like the Muir one (which is still valid).For the price it’s a no brainer
