Love it!
Burns very clean and leaves very little ash behind. I replaced my gas grill with this (tired of burners going out every other year and having to replace the gas grill and buy propane). I use the dragon pot and a cast iron griddle. You are a slave to it, when cooking because you have to keep feeding the wood and push sticks in, but you often have to be present when grilling food anyway! Once a fire is well established, using thicker sticks will decrease the heat intensity, making it good for grilling. Using the recommended wood size is what you should do, when starting the fire or boiling water for a lot of heat and cooking power. I decided to purchase Silverfire because it has a matching pot that fits on top and prevents heat loss (Dragon Pot). I only wish it had a gravity feed system, so that I don't have to keep pushing wood in. Nice portable stove for taking with you camping, for preparation (should we lose the power grid or fuel source), or for backyard grilling. Wonderful for boiling sweet corn and keeping all of the humidity out of the house!

smoke bomb and fire hazard
I purchased the stove last month and planned to use it on a multistate three week summer vacation. I truly hate this stove. You have two temperatures: cold and smokey or warm and smoke screen. I tried burning "bio-mass" (pine cones) and the thing started belching out even more smoke. To heat water requires dedicated watching and playing with the fuel. If you turn away for five minutes the smoke will start to bletch out the front door and burning fuel will fall out of the stove. You shouldn't use it on a wood picnic table. The pots I used were covered in soot and required steel wool to clean off. I had to put my main cooking pot in a plastic bag because the soot was so bad that I didn't have enough water and soap to clean it off. I didn't dare use it while in a campground in Yellowstone Park. I was afraid other campers would complain about it. We had to buy charcoal and aluminum foil to cook with in place of this stove. The design is bad, the air flow isn't sufficient to burn the fuel properly. The burn chamber is too short and absorbs too much heat to create the clean burn you get with a true rocket stove. If you buy this stove you must use dry hardwood fuel and consistency watch the fire to keep it hot enough to heat properly. Don't use biomass, it will cause it to smoke badly. It will roast marshmallows and hot dogs, but they will taste like pine pitch if you use pine wood. At least it scared off the mosquitoes.

I do enjoy the way it works very efficient
I do enjoy the way it works very efficient, only that it was not welded right from inside the metal part where the wooden sticks goes is not level but I'm ok

Best one I've found
This is the best one out there.. Well made and looks great. The draft that it creates burns everything complete leaving only a light ash. It's light by comparison to other Rocket stoves out there but it is still somewhat heavy. I love the idea that I can just walk around my yard and pick up sticks that have fallen from the trees and have enough fuel to cook a meal. You don't have to cut down any trees or process and logs to get a fire going. Even in a camp ground that has been picked over trees still seem to continuously drop these small little branches that have died leaving you with a continuous fuel supply. Hats off to the creators of this technology. It has made camping more eco friendly by being able to use a renewable fuel source.

This stove is made to LAST!
Not only is it made to last but the time & thought that went into making this stove was nothing shy of above & beyond! This stove puts the old rocket stove to shame!! The exterior is even expensive looking let alone how well it performs & the door flap is a great idea!! Light as can be for a stove it's size also... I was quite surprised at the weight. It's ahead of the curve when compared to the rocket stove in every single way you could imagine... The stove is a complete steal for the money!! I just hope that people see this before they waste their money on a rocket stove. You will NOT be sorry you bought this stove!!! FYWP

I love this little stove
I love this little stove. I bought the SilverFire and an All Seasons Solar cooker. We've had so many cloudy days that I haven't used the solar cooker as much as I had hoped, but that's okay, summer will be here soon (March 4 now). I have used the SilverFire quite a bit, in my driveway no less. Did spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese and several batches of chili. All were perfect. The amount of fuel used was crazy. Only used twigs and pine cones. I'm sure I will get my money's worth from this wonderful little stove!!
