Good Product, Great Customer Service
I have 3 fans that I wanted to connect. I originally purchased one to try. It went smoothly so I purchased 2 more. Unfortunately the second one , after connecting and mounting didn’t work. Frustrating , yes. I then connected the second one and it went smoothly. I contacted vendor and , with no hassle, they agreed to replace it. Being cautious I also ordered another one so that I would have 2 on hand just in case I ran into the same problem. They both arrived and one was installed and it went smoothly. I then processed a return for the unused control and the vendor readily accepted. All in all, this product and vendor earned a five star rating. The installation is very easy and the controls work smoothly.

Works well and has better buttons than the other model we bought.
Works like a champ and doesn't interfere with out other remote control on the fan in the next room. Plus, these buttons are much easier to see and use.

Compatible with standard issue Hampton Bay celling fan/light. Be sure to double check wiring.
Super easy to install. Fits nicely into the fan mount housing. Only reason I don't give it 5-Stars is the instructions mention fans with lights and having multiple switches to operate them, but doesn't mention anywhere that you need to combine the two remote receiver power-in lines (I forget the colors so be sure to read the instructions, they are clearly identified) so that the remote control will operate the light and/or the fan. Otherwise, really nice being able to control the light or fan without having to get up and use the wall switches. I spent and extra 20 minutes researching and confirming that you do need to connect three wires where the instructions indicate only two.

Works as advertised
This unit not only gives you control of fan speeds, on and off, but does it remotely. This unit costs less than a wall speed switch plus you get remote control. So, I installed a simple on-off wall switch to replace the defective wall speed control switch and installed the wireless control unit in the fan. It is easier to get at the wiring if you take one fan blade off. Then just hook up the input wires and the output wires which are clearly labeled, with the supplied wire nuts. If you have more than one remote fan control, you might want to set the DIP switches to an unused code combination in the controller and remote. Also a piece of a cake. Install a 9v battery in the remote control and sit back and enjoy the breeze. Installation took less than 30 minutes including time to dig out the ladder and put it away.

Lowered voltage to fan
I installed this unit with a brand new fan about 2 years ago. The fan ran slower than my other fans and the lights were dimmer but I assumed that my new fan/light just sucked and it felt like too much work to remove it and exchange it so we lived with it. Over the last two years the remote “worked”— mostly. You had to press the buttons really hard and do it multiple times for it to adjust the fan or turn on the light but you eventually got there. This week the fan light was too dim to be comfortable. I assumed the fan unit itself had gone bad so I bought a new one and replaced it but kept the same remote. After installation of the new fan, I still had the exact same problem. I measured the voltage coming into the fan from the box and it was 50. I removed the box and it solved the issue. Without this remote unit, my fan speed is correct and the lights are bright. I guess I didn’t need a new fan in the first place. As a side suggestion, do not use the adhesive on the remote to hang it on your wall. When I removed it, it took a giant chunk out of my drywall.
