KS3 Spanish Study Guide

I love this book and am currently working my way through 'Basic Stuff'. Lots here to learn and absorb and it will keep my brain active over the lockdown period and whilst on 'furlough'. I like the layout design and the use of colours which makes learning that bit easier.However, the biggest drawback for me is that this book does not provide assistance with pronunciation and I have had to resort to online videos to ensure that I do not speak the language with an unmistakable English twang!I am an adult beginner and learning Spanish is definitely on my 'bucket list'. Teaching myself, I am also using online resources: this book is great but needs to be used in conjunction with other learning aids.

I bought this for adult self study. I knew it was designed for children but I am happy with that. The problem is that there are no answers The answers are only available online to teachers in schools

Really helpful, don’t need to be studying GCSE or a child to use this book.Pros - easy to learn supported with pictures and even dad jokes, useful as can skip to different pages if I already know or don’t need to know certain things.Cons - can be hard to get actual pronunciation as you are just reading and not hearing it, so may have learned to say it differently than I should have but this book is supported by learning in school so can’t blame it.Overall, would invest in this book but also the corresponding KS3 Spanish workbook to really remember the learning better.

This slim book has all you need to get you started with Spanish. I am using it with two of my students - one young learner and one adult. It's easy to dip in and out of and can be used in class or for self study. The jokes are terrible though and the book smells strongly of ink - not great if you suffer from allergies.

This is a great book, has the basis of the KS3 curiculum for Spanish. Great for young learners. Does not provide exercises but is a great help to a tutor or a student who want to simplify his/her revision.
