Soft wire and easy to manipulate. I used the 12g it to create Christmas tree ornaments. Also hammered any overlaps, and the soft wire formed nicely. Was surprised with the volume of wire. Also ordered a large volume of 20g, that wire was ok. Some rolls had splits in the wire where they were tied off (not a continuous roll), and others had a coating that dulled the wire and made it thicker and difficult to manipulate in the same mannor, it looked more galvanized. Also had to pay $35 in duty because it cam from China and was labeled incorrectly. That was disappointing.

This is a very reasonable price for a spool of high quality wire. My only problem with this purchase is the gauge of the wire. I have been working with 18 gauge wire from another manufacturer to make hands for stop motion puppets. This wire is noticeably thinner than the wire from the other manufacturer. Next time I will buy a thicker gauge. This is not a critique of Benecreat, but of the perils of online purchasing. Their 12 gauge wire is the same size as other manufacturer's wire so I assume that my first 18 gauge wire is thicker than standard. I purchased a roll of the Benecreat 15 gauge wire in my next order and it is about the same size as the 18 from the other manufacturer.

I purchase a lot of this type of product and this quality is terrible. I do like how easily it shapes, but cannot be worked much d/t surface scrapes off quickly. I occasionally use for practice projects to test out a technique before re-making professional projects with better quality wire. It'll take me a long time to find uses for this and I wouldn't purchase again.

This wire is fantastic for me, as I'm still learning how to do wire jewelry. It would also work well for those interested in making costume jewelry. Bends easily and keeps its shape well. Does get marked up a bit if you aren't careful with your pliers. I also marked it up a bit when trying to hammer it. Overall though it's quite nice and I will order again.

Shipped this back immediately upon discovering just how soft and malleable it is. I'm sure it has its purpose (not sure what) but not for this chicklet! Trying to make a pendant or earrings with this would be like trying to form freshly made playdoh into them.
