Costly but works. Avoid buying discs as a warehouse deal though.
The painteater and the discs are effective in removing cracked and chipping paint. Downside, the discs are 1/3 of the cost of the tool, and don't last long. Downside #2, I made the mistake of buying 1 of the discs from Amazon warehouse at it was $10 less. What was listed as cosmetic defect is actually very used and nearing end of life. In the pictures provided, the upper disc is gummed up (warehouse item) the second is new. On the second picture, the one on the left is new, on the right the warehouse deal that was inspected at the warehouse and passed. Really?

Paint Eater Disc Impressions
Disc works great. It removes any dry paint in no timeThis disc is the only one that will fit the Wagner paint eater tool. This tool and disc are the only combination I have found other than sanding with paper or belts, and both paper and belts clog up with paint in no time, but this fiber disc does not clog up with paint, ever!Disc is to aggressive for light jobs as its fibers are like a heavy grit sand paper and the tool (paint eater) has no variable speed control only on or off, so a light paint rough up job is difficultA choice of disc grit abrasive levels would make tool and disc the ideal paint eating system for my house maintenance uses.

Too expensive for what it is
The tool works great but lasts less than an hour or two, you would be lucky to finish your project. Definitely not worth more than $5-$10

Overpriced as hell don't last long
Used it to scrape paint off the deck and a window surrounding. Takes too long to get the job done. The discs doesn't last. I'm already one my second one. I don't think I'll ever use Wagner for this kind of job again.
