Great reference for a serious seeker of Spirituality.
For ordinary mortals it is almost impossible to comprehend God,but while reading this Holy book,we get a feel that we are with God. The subject is greatly and systematically presented by Sri Swami Chetanananda. This book helps to understand how one can live in a practical world with all it's complexities and simultaneously raising the consciousness to a higher level where any material and psychological problems can not touch the real peace for which every one of the humanity strives. Here Sri Sarada Devi's life is greatly presented to the understanding of the above fact. This book be a very useful and helpful as a reference to any serious seeker of Spiritual science. Certain repetitions enhance the message and leave lasting impressions in the reader's mind. The content is exhaustive and quite elaborate. Reader needs passion, and time, not for light reading.

An Enjoyable Biography of a Hidden Saint
Over the last many years, I have been reading biographies of Ramakrishna and his disciples. In them they would often refer to Sri Sarada Devi (also known as the Holy Mother). It seemed to me that she would be presented as either the Divine Consort of Ramakrishna, the incarnation of the age or as the poor widow of Ramakrishna whose life was full of misery and suffering. In both cases, I was left with a two dimensional portrait of her that was oddly colorless. I tried reading other biographies of her and just couldn't get into them. And what little I did read of them still left me with the same impression of colorlessness.Swami Chetanananda achieved something very different with his biography of her. He writes it from the perspective of an ardent devotee who sees her as the incarnation of the Divine Mother. He also writes of her struggles and hardships. But he fleshes it all out. He bridges the gap between divinity and suffering widow. What steps off the page is a complex and beautiful portrait of an amazing woman. He captures her very human dignity and common sense, her dedication and spirit of service. She was a brilliant and dynamic woman who was very much constrained by her times and circumstances - almost suffocatingly so. To those around her, she was a goddess, guru, mother, servant, leader, caretaker, and friend. But to the times she was to be a nobody. She was kept largely hidden from the public, protected and corralled into very narrow roles. Oddly enough, it seems that by the shear force of her humility and spirituality she couldn't be contain strictly within those bounds. Her light kept shining through, sometimes brilliantly and sometimes softly. This biography captures the quiet power of the Holy Mother and her effect on those around her. It is well worth the read. Other reviewers mentioned the "exhaustive'" research that went into this biography. I am not denying that, but I would like to mention that it is also an enjoyable and inspiring read. Her life was hidden in many ways and this book shines a light on her in a beautiful way.

Wonderful for reflection :Lila-anudhyan
This book made us feel our eternal relationship with Mother, we are ever in Her.What a bliss even to just feel "I have a Mother!"However, the author has not utilized materials/books published by Sri Sri Saradeshwari Ashrama, viz. lives of Gauri Ma, Durgapuri Devi, Sarada-Ramakrishna by Durga Puri ma.These books portray some little known facts of the life of Holy Mother and reveal her lila in new light. The first convent bearing the name of Holy Mother, (blessed by her) to fulfil the directions of Sri Ramakrishna and it's deep connection with Her, I feel need to be the explored fully. And who is a better authority than Swami Chetananandaji to consider the merit?Overall, this book is hagiography in a unique way, it reveals divinity amidst the physical plane, a boon to researchers and a gift to devotees and meditators.
