This cover is not one bit heat resistant. It is made of very cheap material and it turns brown if you accidentally leave the iron on a patch for 4 seconds while ironing. Paid too much for such a terribly low quality product. The material is literally the cheapest thinnest quality cotton.

The first part of the description offers you a choice of foam but when it arrived it was the top cover only. After checking I saw the images confirm this but the text and images contradict each other. Got to mess around buying foam now.

the pack says you need to buy the foam separately - honestly with an iron cover so expensive I’m surprised the foam isn’t included! Or at least that this point is not mentioned in the product detail.I’m pretty disappointed and annoyed

This item had cut through holes all over it. Very bad quality! The material seems to be even thinner than the Brabantia cover that I already have. It even looks like a fake copy. DONT BUY!!

Brabantia is a high-quality product and bought because of this, however, the thickness of the cover is not very thick at all. With ironing boards that have a metal grill like mine, it tends to make marks on the clothing. So another padding is needed.

Original item, just be aware of how to use and apply these Brabantia covers, they are not the typical stretchy ready ones you get from the super market.

This ironing board cover fit perfectly. No problem with the shipping or delivery. The package was as described. Soft cover with padding (foam underlay) for the ironing board.

Really really poor quality and ripped in several places. The stitching is falling apart and even the plastic ties have not been manufactured properly. Am sure this is a fake Brabantia product as even the logo has been poorly stitched on. Don’t waste your money on this.

Brabantia sell this as a complete pack, top cover, 4mm felt pad and 4mm foam in one kit. Forgive the internet shouting but this is NOT WHAT YOU RECEIVE.You will receive a top cover sew to a 4mm ish piece of foam, there is no felt!The sewn together product measures 4mm-5mm at best when left to puff up overnight as Brabantia told me let it do when I emailed them.I have had this on my ironing board for less than a week and with less than an hours ironing on it I can feel the mesh frame of my Brabantia ironing board through the cover. You will need to buy the felt pad separately to make this functioning.It's beautiful, well made and fits like a dream but it's not what is it being sold as.

The product details are totally misleading. On the packaging it makes clear that this is a top layer only yet the description suggests that a replacement foam layer is also included. Reading the reviews I see I’m not the first person to point this out. This suggests that brabantia are not interested in the feedback. Like the other reviewer, I’m now going to think twice before buying any brabantia product in the future.

The important thing to note about this ironing board cover is that it is the top layer only. I did not realise this when I bought it. I could see it was cheaper than other covers on Amazon, but I didn't realise why! (I probably should have read the description in more detail.) However, this was not a problem. In fact, as I was replacing an existing cover, it was just what I needed.So, I have now learned that the Brabantia Ironing Board cover comprises two elements: An underlay (like a thin mattress layer) and a cover. I was probably going to buy a cover which included both of these, when in reality, I didn't need to. I just needed to replace the top cover, which had got a bit stained and messy, and had a hole in it. Hardly surprising, as I'd had it about 8 years!I chose this cover because I thought the design was attractive. It was very easy to fit, despite the lack of instructions. You lay it over the top of the board and then pull two strings at the narrow end, to gather up the cover around the edges. These then wind around a little black disc, and can be folded up back underneath the cover to keep them out of the way. It was a bit fiddly to pull everything up straight, but the process was straightforward, and the strings are quite robust, so I didn't feel like I was going to break them!The cover also comes with an elasticated 'band' with hooks on either end. You hook each of these around one of the loops on each side of the cover underneath the ironing board, to keep it in place. If you are replacing a cover, my top tip would be to keep the existing band - don't throw it away - and you can attach this as well, maybe further along the board, to make everything extra secure.I'll attach a couple of pictures to this review - one showing the (rather minimal) instructions, and the other showing the grey band attaching the cover underneath my ironing board.

What you see is what you get and this is a plain, good quality, well fitting cover. Just laying it on the ironing board, it seemed like the string system would not be good enough to hold it neatly and firmly but it was. In case it helps regarding sizing - we don't have a Brabantia ironing board and so I was uncertain which size to get - our board top measured exactly 124 x 38 but I didn't know if their size B (which was the exact same dimensions) would simply cover the top of the board and not have enough spare to attach it comfortably or if it included the required additional material. Suffice to say, when I contacted Brabantia before buying, I had a prompt and helpful response to say that it was the latter and this turned out to be accurate - the 124 x 38 cover fitted round my 124 x 38 board perfectly.
