The is an ample sized metallic mica powder that has many versatile uses. Someone directed me to this color and said it was a nice natural tint to homemade lip balm, which is what I used it for. I used 3 tbsps of oils and wax and 1/2 tsp of this powder. To me, my balms probably could have stood to have more color. I will probably double my powder on my next batch. I purchased the metallic burgundy powder, amaranth.In the one ounce jar, the color is so very lovely. I guess this can be used for e variety of things. I would like to try it in nail polish next. To do that, you mix this powder with clear nail polish to make your own customized color. I have used this method by breaking up an eyeshadow and doing the same thing.For my first try with a colored mica powder, I like it. This jar will last a long time and thus is priced right with a good value. I already have other colors in my wish list!

I used this color to create three SPF 30 lipsticks, all using non nano zinc oxide. It’s a very dark blue toned magenta pink, and blends nicely in cosmetics. The first was made with two parts zinc to one part this, the second was 1:1, and the third was 1:1, but with one part cocoa powder. This is a very pigmented mica that performs highly in cosmetic formulas. I am a fan.

Great color for tinted lip balm. Subtle, but great color. Not too pink or too orange. Bought amaranth color. Took it out of container w a toothpick. About 3 little scoops for 5 lip balms. This will last a while... I've made my own lip balm for a long time (Bee Natural Mommy) but always wanted tinted without the ingredient carmine - which is boiled crushed insects... Even Burt's bees has carmine. This amaranth color only has iron oxide. Yay, pretty lips, no bugs...

The color in this is gorgeous. It's so rich & beautiful. Has a very good amount of sparkles in it. I used it in my homemade lip balm. I couldn't see the sparkles very well once it cooled & I used it on my lips (unless the sun was shining on them), but it did make a nice light color to the balm rather than it just being clear. It did have a gritty feel on the lips. I intend on playing with more recipes & try 2 tweek it a bit more.
