Something happened b/n my eyebrows (the 3rd eye) when i took it in the beginning... if i had to describe the feeling it was the best...better than my anti-psychotics! But badly raises the blood pressure...stay away if you r planning it to take it for long time.

Solid Product But I Tend To Need A Double-Dose
I like this but to be honest most of the time I have to take two capsules (200mg) to get much of an effect. The 100mg by itself does not seem to do it for me, and I also take other things like methylated B-vitamins, magnesium, zinc, potassium, and vitamin C to help build my serotonin levels.A tip and trick - take this with a fully-methylated B6 or B-formula like Solgar's P5P (Pyridoxal 5-phosphate, the active form of vitamin B₆) - or Thorne's Basic B Complex, AND with vitamin C. That will help the 5-HTP to get absorbed properly.Doctor's Best also makes a separate 5-HTP product which includes vitamin B6 and Vitamin C. However - the vitamin B6 is not methylated. If you have low serotonin you may also have issues with methylation and may need to take B vitamins that are already methylated (i.e. the bioactive versions). You can get tested for the MTHFR gene to see if your body methylates properly or not. I do have the MTHFR gene issue, so I do much better with the B-vitamins that are already methylated so that my system can absorb them. See my review of Thorne's Basic B Complex here for more info: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HST919C. Best wishes to you on your health journey!
