Elegant, Masculine, Refreshing and balanced
I don't think I can find somebody easily to dislike, I have the complete series No. 63 products now. Unmistakable scent, masculine, elegant and refreshing at the same time.

Nice looking bottle, that's about It.
Nice looking bottle but that's where the good ends. I was excited to try a more premium body wash than what's available at the local drugmart. The description of the no 63 body wash/shampoo had me sold, everything I want in a body wash, however this was not that. After a lazy off work day I used this and even than it failed to fully clense. And the scent smell's strikingly similar to the $3 "on sale" original irsh spring body wash. I will say it still had a nicer scent overall but similar to the cheap stuff. And less than half the size yet more than 4x the price! No thank's, I gave this "premium" brand my hard earned cashed and learnt the hard way. Stick to under $10 range and skip this stuff or try something else. I'm headed back to wash my pit's with store brand wash as this stuff just doesn't work. And it's such a horrible value at almost $24 for only 240ml when the 532ml bottle of $3-$8 irsh springs works and is a decent amount. If the description of the no 63 body wash is what you want, you won't find it here as that description is nothing like the product you will receive. What a rip off."Edit," everything I said still rings true months later in my original review, however, after giving it some time, and I only use this once in awhile. I have adjusted my rating from one star to two. It does have a nice lather and a little can go a long way, and if they reduce the price it will be more fair value.

Strong Scent
It has a nice scent; on the strong side, making this soap best for day shaves. The puck is hard, so blooming the soap while you're in the shower is recommended if you're having trouble loading your brush with it. It has good performance. Though it doesn't generate a particularly large amount of lather, it is very rich and smooth that can last you for the standard 3 passes. Tin arrived slightly warped, likely from the delivery, but thankfully, the puck was unharmed and it could still be screwed open and close. As for the aftershave balm, it is a good complement to the shaving soap. It is rich and comfortable on application. Though, I don't think you'd be missing much if you decide to use other aftershaves instead. It is more for those who'd like to have scent consistency between soap/cream to aftershave. Packaging arrived badly banged up, likely from delivery. The tube itself was bent, but, seems unharmed (no leaks, cap undamaged).

Waxy and loses it's smell after a little time
I had liked the scent of the shave soap so I ordered the soap and shave balm. Both smelled good for awhile but seemed to lose their strength after some time. Both are also very waxy and leave a residue. I didn't realize just how bad the wax build up was until I switched shave soaps. I bought a few Henri et Victoria soaps and their performance is infinitely better. Better lather, better protection better smell and no residue on my brush or shaver.

A masculine musky fragrance, slightly spicy, slightly sweet, with nice lather.
The puck is medium-hard, so it works very well with your favourite boar-bristle brush or something with nice backbone. It's not so hard that blooming the soap is absolutely necessary, but it does benefit you when loading the brush. It allows you to load more of the soap deep into your brush before you get too much lather worked up in the tin.It easily whips into a thick cushiony lather with stiff peaks. The protection is good and I easily get an irritation free shave with a mild safety razor and a sharp blade. Its slick enough to make a quick back-pass to touch up a recent stroke. I shave in a dry room, so for a back-pass, I will keep my razor quite wet or use a wet hand to re-slick the area if need be.The smell is nice enough. It's more musky than one is lead to believe by the description. There is a background with a sweet spiciness that actually makes this soap pleasant to me, despite the fact that I dislike musk. It is definitely a masculine scent. However, the reviews and description had me thinking it would be more of Old Spice than musk. The fragrance presents stronger than something like Proraso or Taconic. It isn't anything like as strong as Tabac. I find the smell of the puck is stronger than the smell of the lather. It doesn't linger much after the shave. For me, that is a good thing because I prefer my personal fragrance come from my aftershave and cologne, and not my shave soap.If you like the smell of musk, then I think this soap is a very good value around the $20.00 and under mark. I'm glad to have it in my small collection.
