My little one is attracted to the toy’s storytelling

We wanted so badly to love this! It is adorable, and such an amazingly cute idea.. However, it simply doesnt work. And I can say that because we have experienced it being broken not one, not two, but three times. That's right! This mama has replaced this damnable dragon THREE times now and every time there is a glimmer of hope and it's dashed within a few weeks.It will work fine to start with and then heaven forbid your child touch it. ( She literally gave him a hug ) and he love was just too much for the poor dragon to bear because all he does now it make some horrible gurgling noise that sounds like the summoning of Cthulhu. Needless to say, it's a bit terrifying for a child, and a hug disappointment for the parent who shelled out over $30 for the stuffed toy. Save yourself the money and buy a vtech if you want a talking toy for your child. That thing has survived years of toddler abuse and works without skipping a beat.

PLEASE READ: This is a neat toy and our baby girl loves it. However, when you receive it, THROW OUT THE BATTERIES that come with it. Like anybody, I love something that comes with batteries included, but these are very cheap batteries and earlier today, they somehow overheated very badly to the point that the battery cover was too hot to touch and it smelled like burning plastic. I immediately shut it off and let it cool down abs removed the batteries which were still very hot. I worry about what might have happened if I hadn't been supervising my daughter abs didn't catch it. I replaced the batteries with Energizers and let it cycle through all the stories a few times and it seems to be fine and not getting hot at all. I will continue to monitor it though.

My son, almost 2, recieved his original Dalton as a gift. He loved it, cuddling it as he slept every night. Then the voice started making scary noises that caused him to scream sobbing "DALTON! DALTON!" because he KNEW something was wrong. I replaced the batteries and it seemed like it was fine... For a week. Then I replaced them again. After that he wouldn't even turn on. So I had to purchase a NEW Dalton. It's been about a week since he's had the NEW one and it is doing THE EXACT SAME malfunctions. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT. If your child gets attached you will pour cash into this money sink every week to "fix" it.

My baby loves this toy, but unfortunately it completely stopped working after 4 months. Now it's the only thing that gets her to nap, so I'm stuck having to shell out for another one, even though it is obviously shoddily made. (Its mouth already stopped moving after the first month) If you haven't bought one already, don't and save your child the heartbreak of getting attached to it, only for it to stop working out of nowhere.
