AKG p2 high-performance dynamic bass microphone - (pack of1)

The frequency range is quite wide so can be used as a general low frequency instrument mic. It has good internal gain and only needs 6-9db preamp to bring it to parity for a kick. Its pickup range is less than 1m which means it's not picking up everything else going on around. The sound is clear and undistorted with very little noise - perfect! The sound is pretty true though the EQ rolls off at around 1000khz (as you'd expect). For most live applications this is a good choice for kicks or bass amps. It's ok for recording demo tracks.

I bought this to capture the classic vintage Leslie 145 speaker bass rotor and I am very pleased with the results. I would recommend this unit. It also looks well built and professional and box came with the mic clip so yes very happy with this

Bought to replace one that came in a set by another manufacturer, this wipes the floor with the one that came with the set. Heavy casing, rugged construction, excellent sound reproduction.

Quite a decent bass microphone, good sound on bass drum, yet to try it on a bass guitar, seems well built.

Since I have paid a ridiculously low price on this microphone, I can not complain. Sounds very similar to AKG112, maybe a bit more bass heavy the the Shure alternative. On kick drum and upright bass it does the job well. All metal construction feels sturdy. I would bet that this mic will serve me at least a decade. Would buy again if need be.
