Just the right size for me, previous one was (also Brabantia) was too big with food going mouldy.This one is solid plastic with a metal free hinged top that comes off for cleaning and carrying out, the metal handle is also sturdy and and the whole thing (light turquoise) is rather attractive - a pretty little box that I don't mind having on my counter at all. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely colour (pale blue), lid fits snugly and the box is perfect size for one person. Easy to clean: just wash in soapy water. Only very slight issue I have is that I keep forgetting to take the lid off when emptying and it falls into the large recycle bin or the handle drops down and all the veggie waste gets caught... but that is just me. No bags needed, very green as I see it lasting for years

I love the colour, quality and really easy to keep clean. It is small and probably not practical for a family but ideal for a couple to use as a compost container. I purchased to replace a horrible small grey bin supplied by the local council which looked terrible on my draining board. Very pleased with my purchase. But note the size if you are a family.

Lid falls off when lifted, so very annoying. Looks nice and cleans well.
