Beautiful, open-ended toy
My kids have a few sets of these Way to Play roads and they get lots of use and love. They're definitely pricey, but made of rubber, not plastic! This is a pretty open-ended toy that travels easily (small flat box) and can work with many toy vehicles or figurines. They can go in the bath or outside. I do find that the kids get frustrated trying to work on the (plush) rug in their playroom and end up brining these to hardwood flooring. These are fun for my preschooler and ALWAYS out on first-grade play dates (girls as well as boys). The kids love building pretend racetracks, cities, etc. Most two-year olds should be able to build with these but don't assume that early elementary schoolers will be too old to be interested.
