So many USB-serial adaptors are sold with disfunctional chipsets.This one, however comes with a 100% genuine working chipset and works perfectly.I can't comment on the driver software as I did not use the driver CD supplied as Windows found the drivers on the Internet without asking.I recommend this adaptor when you need a single legacy RS-232 COM port on a modern computer.

This FTDI USB to Serial adapter works perfectly on MacOS Big Sur v11.6.2 on my MacBook Pro. It will also work on any other Mac running Big Sur. Just plug and go 👍
