they work !
used these when my FJ got stuck in sodft sand in Dubai...they work great, but when you go back to find them they have disappeared. Attach a rope or wire to each mat and to your tow bar so when you get your self out they car will pull the mats out too.

Useless, completly useless
I was down a road that had some sand blown onto it, it way maybe 1 foot deep. this thing did nothing, i meant nothing. Never got any traction at all, i had 2 of these as well, on both the front wheels.
