Alba Botanica Hawaiian Enzyme Face Cleanser, Pineapple, 8 oz

This is a very effective cleanser and does a wonderful job! The smell is wonderful right out of the bottle, smells a little of pineapple & papaya. It's a very delicate and natural scent and washes clean away when you rinse, makes very enjoyable. The consistency is a liquid gel which is easy to use. I mix with a little water and smooth over my face. It seems to have a slight exfoliation along with the cleanser. I imagine this is in the enzymes to it will keep your skin very smooth. I tend to have dry skin so I cannot use this product on a daily basis, however those with more normal or even oily skin should find this product to be absolutely wonderful. I have used other Alba products in the same range in conjunction with each other and the system is very moisturizing and anti-aging as well. I also LOVE the fact that they have all natural products, Nature is Best! :) I highly recommend this product! I have a tendency to use too many harsh products on my face that cause it to dry up and break out. I purchased this because it was all natural, and also because I felt that even though it wasn't an exfoliator (with little beads or granules), the pineapple enzyme still gave me a deep clean that didn't dry out my skin, though I always use moisturizer on my face regardless. Because I do have sensitive skin, I use this at night to remove makeup and any environmental residue (smoke, smog, etc), and then I use something even gentler, like Cetaphil, in the morning. Like some people said, a little bit goes a long way. What I really love about this product is that it is completely and totally cruelty-free. It has a the Leaping Bunny logo on the back of the bottle, which indicates that NONE of their products undergo animal testing during any phase. This means that neither Alba, nor its parent companies, nor any of its suppliers, test on animals. It also means that they do not sell their products in countries that test on animals (such as China). While this might not be a deciding factor for some people, it was for me. It's not always easy to find cruelty-free products (ie: Leaping Bunny certified) in a store like Duane Reade or CVS, so when I came across this and really liked the results, I was very happy that they did not test on animals. I know someone did say that it burned their eyes a little bit and that it had a bad smell. I've personally never experienced either of those and was surprised to hear that. So much so that I went as far as emailing Alba on their site to inform them of this because it seems odd that a bottle would smell great to one person and smell like rubber to another. I always close my eyes when I wash this off my face and honestly do not experience any stinging.

have used this for years and i haven’t found any cleanser i love more. leaves your face feeling fresh and polished. use with a soft washcloth morning and night to slough off dead skin, make up, the day..and follow with moisturizer. your skin will glow✨ funny thing, when this bottle arrived, i opened the mailer and the bottle was open. no wrapping or protective collar. the pump was up and ready to go. by some miracle only a small drop had squeezed out. i have a feeling this was used and returned, but i’m leaving on a trip and there’s no time to replace for a new bottle. hoping it wasn’t tampered with..

I tried a few different organic face cleanser from amazon but the prices of those products fluctuates & I this one is within my budget, below $10 & half the price from Target. It gets very foamy which I like & my face feels squeaky clean after use even if I applied makeup (no need to use makeup remover) vs other organic face wash I used where it’s a must to remove make up with makeup remover 1st. I defucted 1 star because it was delivered partially opened therefore some of the contents spilled. I would still buy this again though, hopefully when I receive it next it’s still intact

Love this product. It cleanses without irritation and great for sensitive skin.

My esthetician recommended this to me for my skin that was having hormonal breakouts from breastfeeding. She told me to stop the harsh defoliators for the time being and use this because the pineapple enzyme would basically cover the same bases as The exfoliants. I don’t know if that was an accurate statement but it definitely helped clear my skin up a ton and it smells delicious. Pro tip: wet your face first, use a very little bit of the soap and lather it up in your hands first then apply to your face. This also makes the stuff go father. It’s definitely worth a try if you are dealing with breakouts or if you aren’t but just like the refreshing scent of pineapple in the morning.

I've berm using this product for 2 weeks, and I really like the way it cleans my oily, acne-prone skin, the fact I wake up I'm the morning without an oil slick on my nose, I enjoy the fruity scent, and I feel it's helping prevent pimples. BUT I have rosacea, and while there aren't a huge number of products that make my face feel prickly for hours, this is one. I even did a comparison test last night, washing half my face with this & half with a sample from Sephora marketed as "mild". One side of my face was uncomfortable for hours, but soft and gloriously not greasy in the morning. Other side felt better, but it was greasy business as usual. I'm going to try an alcohol free toner after washing in case I'm leaving residue, and I've even broken down & ordered an oil free moisturizer in hopes that will let me use the product, and I usually only need moisturizer on parts of my face a couple of times a winter. I'm desperate to find a way to keep using without discomfort, since my skin looks and feels - to the touch at least - so much better than with any other cleanser. Plus it costs less than half of my previous cleanser.

All right, so I'm a guy aged 50+ so in my generation, we (men) didn't really bother with skincare or face cleanser-type products. Along comes my girlfriend five years ago and when she moves in she unpacks Alba Pineapple Enzyme Face Cleanser. She insists I try it despite my highly effective argument that I haven't used face wash before in my life so why start now? I start using it daily and a month later I couldn't believe I could actually see a difference. My pores were tighter, my skin was smoother and softer. After a year my skin felt really great. The changes were noticeable. Ok, so the moral of the story is this - the girlfriend is long gone but the Alba Facial Cleaner remains!

its actually working, my creams are getting absorbed, my skin looks better after washing with this, I wash my face in the morning and evening before bed, I love this, best cleaner ever. the smell is amazing, its a very good product, I recommend it and I will be buying it again. my skin is getting better, since I have started using this, I have seen an improvement, because now my skin feels fresher and better every single time I wash my face with this, its like I have done a deep cleanse and hydration. thank you so much for the amazing product loveee ittt my favvvv

Limpia en profundidad y huele estupendamente con los pluses de que es cruelty free, el embalse proviene al 100% de materiales reciclados entre otros.

The product is not good, i have oily skin and it made my skin more oily and lots pimples came out. after you apply mask only for an hour skin looks fresh then it becomes greasy and after that lots acnes erupt. my face look so bad now after using it with lots pimples and greasiness. Much better is African Dodu Osun Black soap as it doesn't make skin greasy and is acne free. Wont buy this mask again.
