NKJV - Black Genuine Leather - Regular Size - Thompson Chain Reference Bible (013060) Leather Bound – January 1, 1997

I just got this Bible today in the mail. just from the outside visuals, it is a Very nice Bible and it has a very nice feel to it. after flipping through the pages for a while, It is absolutely mind-boggling at how much this Bible has packed into it. the study helps and resources are incredible and I can tell for a fact that I will be able to get many, many Years of information from it and it is truly a Gold Mine of knowledge and insights. I am still getting the hang of using the chain reference system but, I have managed to follow a couple of them so far, and it's a pretty cool journey to take. it shows you all the connecting scriptures in a given topic and it labels where the first link in the chain is and where the last link in the chain is. I Definitely, Definitely recommend this Bible. I would say the Only minor, minor, minor flaw would be the small print but, with proper lighting, even that is not enough to reduce it to anything lower than a 5 star rating. if anyone is looking for a Bible that is so Jam-Packed with information that it probably would burst at the seams if anything more was added, then they should Certainly get this Bible because it will provide Hours and Hours of very In-Depth Bible Study. I would give this Bible, if I could, a 100,000 star rating for all the marginal notes it has packed into each page.

I just purchased the NKJV of the Bible. In the purchasing process, I looked at the Thompson Chain published by Nelson; but, clearly the quality of the Kirkbride was far superior than the Nelson. The quality of the leather, binding (smyth sewn), paper, and gilding were superior in every way. I primarily use the NASB, but wanted another word for word translation without the thee's and thou's of the KJV I used after first receiving Christ. Some reviewers have mentioned bleed through on the paper. There is some, but it is very slight in comparison to say, the Nelson Study Bible or the MacArthur Bible. The paper is white rather than an off-white, which makes for easier reading. The only thing I wish Kirkbride did is make the print a bit larger without the Bible being as huge as their large print edition. Even a 9pt would be helpful as opposed to the 8pt. Good Bible for seious study.

For those who want to rely strictly on the Bible for their understanding of the Bible, the Thompson Chain Reference Bible is the best tool a person could own. There is no greater commentary on the Bible than the Bible itself, and the Thompson Chain Reference allows the student to follow specific topics throughout the Bible in order to gain the full counsel of God on any given subject. There are also copious end notes at the end of the book containing historical information, weights and measures, a topic index as well as a word index, and many other tools for the serious student and child of the King. I recommend this version above all others.

I've used and relied on Thompson Chain Reference Bibles for many years. It was one of 2 types of Bibles recommended byLiberty Bible College when I was a student in 1975-1982. I really like the way the references follow an idea through the scripture. The summaries of the books are good and so is the archeology section. There's nothing I don't like about it.

This is the replacement Bible to the one I returned because of a bad bind job! This is an expensive Bible, and I purposely choose the Genuine Leather binding because it is supposed to be a stronger binding. The other binding option is a Bonded Leather which is more plastic than leather, anda way more weaker binding for such a thick Bible! I have attached pictures. If you look where the yellow and black material starts and ends it's too short. It doesn't cover all the pages. When you open the Bible the first group of pages lift. I'm concerned that by opening and reopening this Bible will result in those pages eventually coming out.I love the idea of scripture validating scripture and this whole concept of chaining scriptures together, but this Bible is overpriced for the poor binding job that is available. What the heck is Genuune Capri grain binding anyway?! It's like the bonded leather only a little thicker.

Still the best of reference bibles available anywhere . Got my last one in 1985 and it's lost a a small bit of it's binding around Genesis 1 through 6 but that bible has seen hard usage. The Kirkbride binding is exceptional.

I was very excited to receive this Bible, but disappointed when I did. The font is definitely not "regular" it is very small. The paper is not the quality you would expect at this price, and I have another Bible, that was half the price, with much better paper. But the worst surprise of all, was that the leather was not at all what you would expect in this price range. I have $18 dollar, bonded leather bibles that are softer and more "leather-like" than this "Capri Grain Genuine Leather". Although I have heard great things about the Thompson Chain Reference System, and I love the NKJV translation, I could not recommend this Bible in the end. Apparently competition is needed to force these publishers to make a higher quality Bible.

I have an NIV Thompson and I always wanted NKJV opportunity and price was right. If you ever wanted a Thompson the NKJV is the way to go. Great chain reference and study bible in one. You will not regret this purchase. Just make sure its smyth sewn and published by kirkbride.

An excellent Holy Bible to learn or teach the Word of God. What I love the most is the titles . For example if some wants to learn and understand about marage all the verse you need to know are presented clearly. I don't have to discuss about it within this limited words, if you can please buy it to see what I meant to say.

Die Bibel ist sehr schön, übersichtlich, mit ganz viel zusätzlicher Information. Das einzige, was ich ein wenig schade finde, sind die dünnen Seiten. So kann man sich kaum Notizen darein schreiben. Zum Lesen ist sie allerdings super. Auch die Schriftgröße und -art sind sehr angenehm. Auch nach einer längeren Lesezeit kann ich noch alle Buchstaben schaft sehen. Sehr zu empfehlen und auch als Geschenk ganz toll!
