Got 280 feet of this trimmer line and it lasts a lot longer before I need to tap the trimmer for new line. It is thicker and more durable than my previous line, and both are .080 inch line, good product.

After watching a comprehensive review of various trimmer lines on a popular, unbiased, farm-based YouTube channel, I ordered this trimmer line. Having a hearing issue that makes high-pitch noises intolerable, I fell in love the low hum of this trimmer line with the first pull of the trigger on my battery-operated (40 volt) lawn trimmer. Even with the lawn trimmer on the battery-saving setting, this line cuts right through everything in my residential yard effortlessly allowing me to quickly walk around the yard and get the trimming done.When the trimming around the yard has been a bit neglected and the flowerbeds require the edges to moved back which requires the trimmer line to come in constant contact with the dirt, this line performs admirably; it can take the abuse.The design, shape of the line makes it aggressive so one must be careful around desirable plants and small trees. Due to that design, you may use up the battery more quickly (I assume because of greater wind resistance), but you can get the yard done more quickly. Periodic soaking of the trimmer line in plain tap water will hydrate the line reducing brittleness and increasing longevity; I'm sure that's applicable to most if not all trimmer lines.

Easy to use & has durability to do the job

I've been using Shakespeare Ugly Twist for years. I like it but I go through a lot of it on my Stihl FSA56 and my older Stihl gas trimmer. Decided to try this line after reading reviews.Pros: line is tough, doesn't "dive" as much into the grass, cuts more evenly and doesn't need much bumping when used around sidewalks. It definitely lives up to its ratings. It also doesn't leave the trimmer as gunked up. It's less expensive and you get a lot more line in a roll, but that could be a problem over time as the line could become brittle or hard.Cons: About the only thing you should know that is bad about this line is that you have to keep your line limiter blade very sharp. I use a Dremel grinder to sharpen it. If you don't do that this line will not cut cleanly and will frustrate you. Electric trimmers are a bit different than gas trimmers. They have the RPM but not the power. If you're not willing to maintain your tools, this line isn't for you.

I bought a cordless string trimmer a while back. I also ordered a spare roll of string -- black stuff. That was my first-ever experience of having the string weld itself together inside the trimmer head. One time it took me pulling on both ends so hard that I actually cut into my skin! Upon further investigation, I saw that this black string was actually welded to itself inside the package!!Well, besides the bad experience with that string, I also was not happy with that trimmer. So ordered a different cordless trimmer, along with Maxpower line. Wow! This Maxpower line holds up GREAT! We live in the north country where humans are rare and prairie grasses grow taller than a man! This string simply works. I've run it through all types of grasses, weeds, raspberry vines, and even small tree saplings. The tree saplings are usually a bit much for this string, but it'll surprise me sometimes and take out a sapling that's better than 2' tall. Impressive! It has also cut through the thickest of berry vines, so long as they are still green. Stems that have died and dried are very hard for ANY smaller trimmer line to cut through.

Strong and durable, I’m very please with the end results.

Very high quality stuff, and way cheaper (per unit length) than almost any other brand. That might be enough for most people, but the particular design makes it very tough, which is great because here in Northern California, we have weeds that are practically evolving into Kevlar lol and this chops through it all. Bonus points for high visibility fluorescent material.

Cuts and wears well

I was happy to find the trimmer line that ' had to fit ' my Riobi weed whipper! They don't make this model any more (therefore the stores won't stock the appropriate line) and when the store employee stated that ...' ....you'll have to buy the new model ' (???) well, I was so happy to find the line with you !

Avg trimmer string

Very good quality and was easier than i expected to wind up. Just cut off about 15 feet or so at a time. There’s also YouTube videos to help you out.On one side of my property we have chain link fence that used to eat up the old line fairly quickly. This line hardly lost anything so it’s very strong!

Perfect line for TORO electric trimmer, once loaded it cuts almost everything that's soft and up to 1/4in thick. Line will not brake on rock or concrete edges, but will split into finer cords and it will still cut. Lasts about 3 times longer than regular lines.
