3DConnexion CadMouse Compact Wireless 3DX-700082, black

This CadMouse Compact Wireless was totally frustrating when initially trying to set it up for Fusion 360.It would not take button settings, was glitchy in linking, etc. Researched extensively on forums, etc to find a solution, but just found repetition of the same issues. No response from CadMouse support.I filed to return it. But needing it until I could get another mouse, I tried uninstalling the app, deleting the driver download, turning the mouse and laptop off, etc. to see if I could get it to work.I the downloaded the driver again, but this time deleted all the un-needed options listed under custom download before installing. Also checked the box to remove previous user settings.Then started up Fusion 360, opened the CadMouse settings app and selected all desired settings. To my surprise, it worked perfectly! Still need two buttons pressed to get the Orbit function. but that's acceptable at this point.If the settings hold, it's 4 stars for functionality and 0 stars for support, clarity of instructions, crappy UI and complexity of getting a simple orbit function into a working function menu... not really a bargain for $90.

This is the older model before they upgraded to USB-C. It would have been nice to know that but I still like the mouse.

It is very comfortable and having the extra buttons and being able to customize what each button does is amazing. Especially having the ability to setup Macros for each button. I also love the fact it recognizes what program you are using and you can customize the mouse for each program. For example, the middle mouse button does one thing when I’m on my desktop, but can do something totally different when I’m in Solidworks or programming. Highly recommend

I never felt comfortable holding it. I did like the separate center click button but the one on the wheel clicks if you even think about scrolling. Somehow clicked it 3 times even after I boxed it up and returned it. The wireless dongle also only worked when it wanted to.

The mouse feels good from the crisp impact of the clicking mechanism to the intervaled clicking of the scrolling wheel, but after less than a year of owning the mouse, the scroll wheel broke. It skips and jumps intermittently which makes it impossible to do work in CAD. I don't know whether mine was faulty or whether this is a pattern of poor quality in this aspect of the mouse.

The review title says it all. I'v been using this mouse everyday at work for a month now and I will never go back to a normal mouse for 3D modeling. Pair it with the 3D the wireless spacemouse and watch your efficiency skyrocket.

I have a CadMouse Wireless already. I like it fine, but I have smaller hands and was hoping the CadMouse Compact would fit my hand better. All the pictures comparing the two devices show that the Compact version is...well...compact. But it's exactly the same size as my other CadMouse. It says "CadMouse Compact Wireless" on the bottom, so I know it's the correct one. Does 3DConneexion not understand the concept of size?

I bought this mouse a couple of months back, I loved the weight on my hands, however, i have a few things against it, the wheel scroll now turns the opposite direction every time i scroll, how is this supposed to be a CAD mouse with this sort of behavior; Secondly is that I have to disconnect and reconnect my Bluetooth every time I want to use the mouse, my previous Deluxe mouse had no such issue, that was absolute dongle-free, here I have to connect the dongle, reconnect Bluetooth and extract the dongle, this is not good

Es un buen mouse, puedes sacarle ventaja al tercer click, es una maravilla el no usar más baterías y que sea recargable, tiene materiales de calidad al tacto, su tamaño es mediano, no es tan pequeño por lo que dudo que la mayoría de las personas tenga problema. Me hubiera gustado que el click fuera silencioso y no es así, pero por lo menos es sensible y no tienes que usar tanta fuerza lo cual es vital en el dibujo CAD, pudiera ser más pero es aceptable. Definitivamente lo recomiendo si tienes más accesorios 3d connexion y quieres usarlos en conjunto.

The mouse button feeling is perfect for 3D design. But the Bluetooth and wireless could not be worked. Tried many times and failed. Hope it could be improved here in the future.

I purchased the product but realized this mouse is too small for my hand. I returned it but never received full refund after several contacts via amazon customer service.Try avoid this seller

I use this 3D mouse since Oct 7, and the wheel started acting up a couple of weeks ago. The wheel skips, goes to the opposite direction, and back, like a lunetic. No way to describe it. 3Dconnexion is a disappointment this time. Not sure what happened, maybe the seller sold a bad part? I thought you would want to know. In my opinion, the quality sucks.
