Heroes Wear Masks: Elmo’s Super Adventure

I thought the girls ages 5 and 3 would love 5his book, but they were only lukewarm. Perhaps the book was too predictable. It needed a bit of a story rather than lecturing.

Book was smaller then what I thought it would be. Great story, one that adults should read too!!! This book does a great job explaining to kids the situation we are in and the important things they need to be doing.

Great book with beloved familiar characters to help kids get used to masks, social distancing, hand washing, etc. It also includes multiple references to Elmo calming his anxiety by taking deep breaths, which is great for helping kids understand that their feelings are normal and ok and for teaching them how they can calm themselves... my kid is not the least bit anxious about school or masks, though, and I don't want to go about putting those ideas in her head by reading this book with her, so I'll be passing this book on to another family. It's still a great book, don't get me wrong, it's just not right for my kid.

This book is absolutely fabulous! It goes over hand washing, social distancing, wearing a mask, and the nervousness that you might feel with all of this going on. I was hoping that might convince my two-year-old to wear a mask. But he doesn't have to wear one at daycare yet. I think it's for more like a 3 to 6 or 7 year old. My 2 year old has no interest.

Excellent for 2-6 year olds! Teaching them consideration for fellow man as well as how to stay safe!
