Easy to use if your installing yourself
This is a product that my only problem with it is I didn't think of it first I'm a trim carpenter for years and used a stick and nail when I was short handed (help didn't show up ) but it works awesome!

They work
These allowed me to hang molding on ladder by myself... so it does the job. However, it could be improved a lot with minor tweaks. You either have to measure and mark the distance from the ceiling around your perimeter or eyeball the distance from the ceiling which isn't easy due to it requiring a nail in a position unrelated to the molding height. Extending the back piece to adjust to rest on the ceiling properly distanced would help immensly for productivity and if they added ruler markings would avoid screw ups.A better fastening mechanism would be useful as the current one requires holding the back piece in place supporting one part of molding that tends to put pressure and torque on the support then loosening the hand nut and sliding the front piece up to where the molding should stay then tighting the nut. Pushing up the back part at all pushes it off of the nail its hanging from even when properly loosened as they don't slide smoothy even without a load but when supporting a decent section of molding bends and torques so it really doesn't want to slide smoothly. This can be mildly annoying or bring everything crashing down.It could use a notch or some marked area for supporting molding better as it simply supports molding at the meeting of the two parts but it doesn't support the molding rotationally well, allowing it to twist and turn a lot even when the locking nut is tightened. Then the plastic flexes enough to prevent easily setting the angle of the junction. If the notch could be thinner than the existing structure it would fix another problem.Their thickness forces a significant distance between them to avoid molding bowing out from crossing these hangers while having three would make installation much easier than one on each end. Also plastic is weak and flexible so large chunks of molding can strain it and create torque. Designing it to allow them closer together and including at least 3 would work much better.

Works good
The hangers give you a extra pair of hands. They do hold the molding but off the wall a little.

They work as advertised
I used these to hang crown by myself in a flip house. They worked great. I am hanging 12' to 16' lengths with no assistance. I have finished three rooms so far with no issues. They do not hold the crown up tight, just close enough to the ceiling so you can set the opposite side. That's all you need when working alone. I saw one comment about having trouble removing the brackets. If you put the nail too close to the ceiling the brackets will be hard to remove. Just leave a small gap (as it states in the instructions), slide the bracket on and off the nail before you put the crown on the bracket, just to make sure you have enough space to remove the bracket. Once I have one side set and nailed (the bracket is holding the opposite side), I move my ladder down and hold the crown up against the ceiling and remove the bracket and nail it in place. I am really happy I found these.

Can handle 5 1/4" Poplar Crown No Problem
Initially bought the FastCap brand of crown molding hangers like this, but found them way too cheap and wouldn't hold a poplar 5 1/4" crown in place even with all four clips anchored in the wall. Bought these and although they were more than 2X the price of the FastCap they actually worked well and as they should. I put one anchored an inch from the ceiling about every 4 to 5 feet and worked just fine. You can even adjust them to move the molding up or down a bit, which was also a good option. Understand that any of these hangers are not intended to hold the molding tight to the wall while you nail it, so when you get within a couple of feet of the hanger just slide it up to the right and then down and out of your way; align the crown to your mark and nail it...move on. Two in the package and I bought another package to use on the longer 15' + runs.

Really easy to use for a one person job
These were very easy to use a newbie to hanging crown moulding. I was by myself doing what is normally a 2 person job and it made easy work of it. I'm so happy these were recommended by the youtube channel I follow. Totally worth the purchase.

Not able to ise it with flat modern crown
Good product all around. Nice strong plastic and happy to have it when I dont have any help to hold the other end. However, its difficult to use with modern flat crown that I use for my finishing. The screw head gets in the way. So what I have to do, is countersync the hole where the screw goes, and drill the hole out 1/16th bigger than the threads, so when I'm done I can unhook the hanger and then push the screw in flush with the face.

Installing crown moulding
By yourself, installing a 12ft length of crown moulding can be difficult if not impossible. These hangers are great in that they can be hung with a nail and then removed as you go along while nailing into the moulding. Two will do, but three for anything over 10ft length are preferred. You can adjust the height of the hanger with a sliding arm and large thumb screw. Only down side, the slider adjustment can bind if the thumb screw isn't completely loosened.

You need this tool.
The hangers were very helpful. It was my first time doing crown, plus I didn’t have someone helping me. Using the hangers freed up both of my hands so I could roll the corners in place and use a nail gun without worrying about holding the piece up. It’s adjustable, so you don’t even have to be super precise when nailing the hanger to the wall. Would definitely recommend.
