I wanted to try using a baroque bow so I decided to try this one. I was pleasantly surprised. One could not ask for a nicer bow at this price, though there are none of the ornaments that you may find in a modern bow. The package arrived from China in timely manner. The bow was packaged well enough and the bow arrived in tact. The wood seems like quality wood and the tone is quite nice, better than a carbon bow for the same price. With a baroque bow you trade some of the sustain and volume of a modern bow but what you get in return is speed. This bow is light and fast. It works great for fiddling. Whereas a modern bow can be troublesome at faster speeds this bow just seems to want to play faster. The tone is clean and articulate. I love it.

Great little bow can really move fast through the notes for baroque music. the strings are not in one plane as I am used to with traditional bows but I have had no problems playing in the lower and upper registers. For the price this is a no-brainer.

I'm a professional violinist and teacher. This bow is an amazing introduction for students for the understanding of how to play baroque music on a string instrument.

This is way better than I'd expected it to be, especially considering the price. This really is a great bow especially for playing the Bach sonatas and partitas in baroque style.
