AIR802® model CN4SMAP is a precision manufactured SMA plug-male crimp style connector sized for RG8, AIR802 CA400, Times Microwave's LMR400 and Belden 9913 coaxial cable. Connectors can be a bit confusing regarding the gender. This SMA plug is a male connector. It has threads inside and the pin protrudes from inside the connector. This is in contrast to a reverse polarity SMA (RP-SMA) where it also has inside threads but has a receptacle or hole instead of a pin and is a male which causes confusion to those unfamiliar with connectors. We generally prefer the term, plug and jack in order to avoid this confusion. A plug is a male and a jack is a female. For assistance visit the RF Connector Identification Chart on the AIR802 webpage on the left-hand side under Knowledge Center.
