Not ready for prime time
First one had issues with eating batteries which is a known engineering issue with their early releases. Replacement promptly sent when I indicated it was eating batteries every day. Used the replacement in my first tourney this weekend. Here is my summary:- i put a fish gripper on to replace the hook and it works well- having to wait for the Bluetooth to connect and then wait forever (roughly 30 seconds on occasion) for the weight to lock in is a real PITA.- my scale indicated over 19 lbs. my actual weighed in weight was 16 and change. I am not sure how the scale determines when to lock in a weight, but I had 1 lb fluctuations while waiting for it to lock. I also checked it tonight against several known weights - it registered 5.2 for a 5 lb weight and 8.7 for an 8 lb weight- the scale is sensitive to sitting in the sun. It won't turn on if it gets too warm. And this happened to me on a 75 degree day- it's not waterPROOFGood concept, great app, but scale needs work.Update fall 2019:Comments: Here is a review from someone that is not a connectscale "Pro" staffer.I purchased my first CS in the spring of 2017. That unit chewed through batteries and eventually the company recognized they had a design problem and began replacing units. They replaced mine under warranty. My replacement unit would basically only lock weights in a reasonable time on dead calm days - very few of which occur on my home lake Lake St Clair. This spring I started getting a "lo batt" error on the scale on multiple brand new batteries. I contacted the company and they would not warranty the unit but instead offered a next gen unit for an additional $30. I accepted that, hoping they'd worked out the bugs.My next gen unit got splashed on during a rough weather tourney on st Clair and developed a fogged over readout. CS replaced that unit as well. I've now used my replacement unit (4th unit) for multiple tournaments and it's only been able to lock a weight on about one in four fish. If there is any wave action at all, the scale struggles to lock and you've got to go to your phone and manually enter a weight (or continue to let the fish hang there hoping for a lock).I've asked CS for a refund and they offered to refund the $30 upgrade cost. I'm $120 in to this device that doesn't perform. My advice - If you fish big water, this scale is not for you.

Overpriced old model that didn't even work
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad, and he called me today to say that it didn't work. I thought the cost was way too high, but I knew my dad was really excited about it.He was on a call with the maker of the product to try to get a replacement and they said they actually have a model 3 now and that it's only about $60. This is the model 1 and is still $104.99. Don't buy this model from here. The model I got might have been a fluke, but this listing is overpriced and an older model. And either way I'm out $105.

Had trouble connecting
The scale I had had a hard time connecting to my iPhone 6S Plus and my fiancé's galaxy note 4. The few times we did get it to connect and log out info, the gps was off.. By a lot. This product is a great concept and I hope they can get the bugs with the Bluetooth worked out. We ended up sending ours back.

Connectscale Digital Bluetooth Scale
My husband loves this! The batteries don't last that long in it though.

Jury is still out
I just received it after purchasing through Amazon and will post a better review after using it over the next few weeks. To be honest, I wanted to like it. I wanted to like it real bad. Here are a few of the issues I found:1. Sorry to say, the instructions left me a little dubious. They are not complete and don't really explain all the functions. For example, if I didn't see the instructions for how to set up the tare function here, I would not know how to do that.2. The product claims to be accurate to 1/100th of a lb. I purchased the fish grip jr. and it weighs roughly 11 oz. but 6 out of 10 times I attached it to the scale it did not register the weight at all.3. The instructions for calibrating the scale seems a little ridiculous - one of the last steps is to place a 25kg weight on the hook to calibrate and if it reads 'PASS', you are set. How many people carry a 55lb + weight at home?4. The app was easy enough to set up on my smartphone and blue tooth worked perfectly but the integration of the scale and the functions are not real user friendly. You still need to enter information on the phone if you want a complete picture of your catch - or - is it that the instructions are not clear?Anyway, I have many other scales and I am hoping that I either did not calibrate the scale correctly or I have a bad scale, but I do not trust the weight it shows - I took a 5lb and a 10lb free weight and tried weighing it on all my scales and this one gave incorrect weights every single time and not just one consistent incorrect weight. Again - I am not sure but hoping it is because the calibration test could not be completed or perhaps I read the instructions wrong? Not sure who to contact but will try to work this out by my next fishing trip when I will use it.
