Beacon Audio Blazar Deep Graphite Portable Bluetooth Speaker and Speakerphone

The Blazar is the best compact portable speaker on the market!Battery life is really good, you can get 10h of use (using bluetooth and with the volume up), probably more in other situations.For a speaker this size, the bass is great. Of course it cannot compete with real large non-portable subwoofer, but this is really good otherwise.What also makes the Blazar stands out is it's great connectivity. Bluetooth of course, but also a IN jack input and a OUT jack output.As I really liked my first Blazar, I ordered a second one. As soon as you turn them up they automatically pair together (you first pair them manually the first time - pretty simple, and the next times it is automatic) - it takes just 20 seconds, and then it automatically pairs with my Mac in just 10 seconds. So it's completely automatic and convenient!I even temporarily replaced my car audio system with a Blazar (I just fixed it on the dashboard)Last but not least: great customer service is provided.The only negative points:- The zipper of the case is very difficult to close (I had that on 2 Blazar, so it seems to be a usual issue)- When using 2 Blazar paired together, there is a small delay in the audio. That's no problem for music, but if you want to watch a movie then you can just adjust the "audio delay" option on your favorite movie player.Conclusion: Definitely recommend this product!

Make no mistake, this speaker actually has great sound. I have been incredibly happy with that aspect of it. Unfortunately, it has quality issues and the company is no longer there to fix them. My first unit died, and it took my own shipping costs and a fair amount of time to get a replacement. The second unit stopped being able to charge, and when I tried customer service again, I found they were basically dead. So I popped the top off and found that the micro USB port for charging was poorly constructed and eventually the mere act of plugging it in to charge will eventually break it. I may be able to fix my own and still get use out of it, but of course I shouldn't have to.Do not buy this speaker. For the money these days, you can find similar or better quality for the same price or cheaper, and from companies that still exist and will back their product.

The bluetooth is really finicky and difficult to connect to devices. When it does work, it sounds great - when the volume isn't high. When turned up it sounds fuzzy and cracky like the speaker is blown. Only have had it a little over a year and need to buy a new, different speaker.Would not recommend to anyone or purchase again.

This speaker is great for medium sized rooms. It gets loud but not too loud. The sound is excellent. Battery life is decent. The only complaint I have is that pairing can be tricky sometimes.

Backed these on Kickstater. They sound pretty good when they work (and get quite loud for speakers of this size) and pair easily enough via NFC to my Galaxy Note 2, but I have never gotten the speakers to connect together in order to get the stereo function to work on the first try. In order to get the stereo pairing you often need to turn them on/off several times to get the speakers to connect and wait several minutes for them to detect one another. When it works it's awesome and a really nice touch, but it's very frustrating that you can't just turn both speakers on and easily listen to music in stereo with both speakers. All in all I'm happy with the price I got them for off of Kickstater and if you're just going to use one speaker it'll work great via bluetooth or a 3.5mm audio cable, but don't expect too much from the stereo pairing feature since it's an exercise in frustration every time you turn them on.

Awesome sound from such a little guy! Exactly what I needed--those situations where I use my cell phone to play music and this little dinky speaker cell phone speaker doesn't sound good. This Blazar adds richer sound with bass notes surprising quality tones. Like when I'm working under the hood, folding clothes in the laundry, or simply setting on my back deck watching the sunset off the lake. Not to mention those moments at work where we're having a "happy hour" at the office, nice to put some tunes on.

DO NOT BUY THIS - The company is dead in water, went under probably for not being able to cope with all the support requests they ended up receiving for these speakers. Worked ok for a few months (minus the super loud pairing/turning on beeps and issues when 2 or more paired devices were detected - holy beeping that ensues then!) and then stopped turning on properly all together. Tried to reach the company, support, website, anyone - and nothing. Their website is gone, no support line, no response through Facebook or Twitter. Pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth. Wouldn't recommend this "investment" to anyone out there - go with a company that has a history of making audio equipment and has a dedicated support line in case things go south with your purchased device.

Was hoping to use this in rehearsals, on the beach, at home while cleaning... I bought two, hoping to pair them. They lasted less than six months. Sound quality was just okay until one stopped working and the other started emitting the nastiest hiss. Waste of almost $200.
