Works great! Saves time and money.
This stuff is awesome for my application. I am spraying undergrowth against pine needles so the blue is more distinct on the brown needles. I can see where it might be a little difficult to discern the difference between the blue on green. But you can tell the difference on green once you begin to pay attention to the color difference. It's subtle but it's distinct. Depending on how much you use, it dries much lighter than it goes on. In terms of use, it says 2-4 teaspoons per gal. So this quart will go a long way. I stopped measuring because this stuff is MESSY! You will get blue on your hands and surface you are working on no matter how careful. By just pouring in a little splash of it, it pours well from the bottle without running down the side of the bottle. But it will get all over the bottle when you replace the top. But it doesn't last long when you get it on you. I'm loving this marker dye. I have a couple acres I have to keep sprayed for weeds and undergrowth and it saves a lot of time and spray to know what I've already gone over. I highly recommend for larger applications.

Mark the weeds I have sprayed...
I am still experimenting with the amount to add per 2 gallons of spray solution (they recommend 2-4 teaspoons/gallon, I am currently using about 4.5 teaspoons/2 gallons). I have a fairly large grassy yard and multiple flower/vegetable beds, about 3/4 acre) and spot spray weeds. This dye helps me see which weeds have been sprayed and which have not (thus, no more double spraying or missing unsprayed weeds). I do spray weeds in the driveway and sidewalk cracks and they are marked with the blue dye, but blue color almost completely fades after just two days. I does seem to stain the work bench I use to mix the herbicides (not a big issue for me), but still waiting see if the dye fads with time. Overall, it seems to be a useful product...

Works well
Added this to my sprayer tank at a rate of 15-20mL in 3 gallons along with quinclorac when spot treating for crabgrass. Marks sprayed areas well and washes away after 2d. Use gloves when handling but can rinse off with bleach if you get some on your hands.

Helps mark where you sprayed but not well.
You can see where you sprayed, but only for a few mins. If you come back after 10 mins or so, the stain is difficult to see. Very messy to work with.

Good Stuff
I am in the middle of a task to kill Barberry bushes on 30 acres of my woodlands using a roundup type spray. Barberry is an invasive species that if unchecked will take over the woods. There are a lot of bushes growing and I don't want to have to make 2-3 passes to catch all the invaders. In order to kill these plants you must insure that you spray the entire leaf growth as the herbicide is adsorbed through the leaves and then kills the plant. Since the roundup is clear, it is difficult to see exactly where on the plant you have sprayed and also since these plants are all over the place, it is easy to miss some while walking around spraying. This Dye solves the coverage verification problem very nicely. I am adding 2oz Dye per 4 gallons of mix and the resulting color is easily seen, even from a distance, on the sprayed bushes. It does color the hands of you get some spray on them, but the blue washes off with soap and water after a while. ( Washing dishes or taking a shower seems to remove it completely from the hands )One draw back is that once the spray mix dries on the plants, the blue is very hard to see. So if you are continuously spraying, no problem following your progress, but if you come back the next day to pickup where you left off, the blue is essentially gone.I had hoped that the color would remain visible the next day, but this is not the case. In spite of this shortcoming, still a very worthwhile product.Tim

Everything is blue!
Worked very well. I used this with various weed killers on my lawn. It was a guessing game to get the right mixture at first, started with about 1 teaspoon per gallon which was great but once it was on the lawn it was very difficult to see. Upped it to about 1 tablespoon per gallon and it was very visible. It did not affect the effectiveness of the poisons.Downside, it is very blue and takes some scrubbing to remove from skin, though it does come off. My pressure-pump sprayer's cap blew off while I was leaning over it pumping and I received a face full of blue. Two showers and a lot of scrubbing later I was back to normal but I sure did get some funny looks.

Would buy again
I use this to spray Garlic Mustard. You only need a couple teaspoons for 3 or 4 gallons of water. It’s water soluble but be careful. It seems to get everywhere around your shop if your not careful. I get it on my pants while I spray and it washes right out, no problem there. I have bought this 3 times, good product. I can see what I sprayed.
