Works great on my iMac M1 which only has 256G of internal SSD (Apple SSD costs are a rip-off and ridiculous). So I bought this TB adapter along with a WD Blue SN570 1TB. Works great and performance is ample for this machine.

Easy to install a SSD in the caddy - I’m using a WD Blue SN570 2TB and it is getting 1380 write and 1450MB/S read speeds from Blackmagic’s speedtest plugged into a Thurderbolt 3/4 on a M1 Mac Studio machine - using a USB3 caddy i was getting 440 & 209 respectively - I have my collection of photos on it (around 500gb) and it feels very fast using Capture One 22 - using it for a day of reasonably full use it has performed faultlessly

Well built enclosure that's very good value. Works with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus and Apple M1. I get 1562 MB/s read and 1340 MB/s write so it is throttled from the 2603 MB/s read I got from the same SSD in another TB3 enclosure. However it runs cooler when under load and is very cool when idle which the other enclosure wasn't. Personally I prefer to run cooler as this is plenty fast enough for my needs. The cable is captive and short but can be replaced with a longer one if you want (there's a socket on the board).

Despite that the plastic bracket is missing, the connection is not stable. When changing from TS3 port to another, it will not be able to detect unless restart the laptop (MacBook Air M1). Not sure if this is a common issue with all TB3 enclosure as I just returned another similar one due to exact the same issue.

This works perfectly with a Samsung 2tb Evo+ on Macos. Nothing to do except install (easy) and format the drive. No issues so far, and the slide-on holder for the back of a laptop is a nice touch.

I purchased this enclosure to increase the speed of Time Machine backups from my MacBook.When you include the price of a 2TB NVME drive this is quite an expensive setup but the amount of time you save is worth it.If I had to criticise anything it would be the cable connection. Why is it inside the enclosure?! This makes no sense to me. That said, at least it can be replaced if it brakes.

Just attached a drive and away it went, no issues at all. It comes with a small bracket to attack to the back of a computer.

I bought this to add faster storage for my iMac. Popped in a known good Samsung SSD and went to format it, and it errored. Tried it in another Mac, same error. If I format the SSD in another machine (no issues) then I can write and read to it, but I'm not happy to rely on it when it can't do the basic format. So I sent it back to OWC EU who said it worked when they used it. Back today, still fails for me. Obviously it works for many people, but it must be fussy about the drive used.
