My dog is about 50 lbs and doesn't often pull much - I find this lead ideal and really good value for money. I would describe the elasticity as slight and the lead feels really sturdy - much more comfortable (less hand friction) than the flat/ribbon types which are more common. It looks smart and the clasp is good quality. I think for a much bigger dog (than 50 lbs) you might want a slightly thicker construction and maybe for a smaller (particularly if they are prone to pulling) dog something with more elasticity might be a nicer balance.

Not sure about chew proof since my two dogs don't try to get the leash. So far love the feel and the look. My husband can see the leash well and won't trip over it like the retractable one, and it does not hurt on the legs or the dog. Color is very true to the picture.

Been using this for a few months and it’s actually amazingly durable and comfortable.

I hope it holds up. Too soon to tell. It is so lightweight and easy on the hands. I use 6 ft leashes but this time tried 8 ft. Dogs wslk so much better. I guess they enjoy that little extra freedom. Will definitely buy again!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought these because I wanted two leads exactly the same length (and style/feel... I like being symmetrical! 😂) for walking two of my dogs who I walk together (my 8 year old working sheepdog, Skye, and the apprentice - 15 week old Zen). Annoyingly one is actually a couple of inches shorter than the other 😅 But I don't really notice and everything else about them is great at such a good price that I can't really complain.I wanted the quarter inch rather than half inch width because I thought the hardware would be lighter for the puppy (don't know what the hardware is like on the half inch but this one is fine) so the choice was limited and I couldn't get the length I wanted in the colour I wanted.I went with 8ft and was worried that would be too long for what we need (we're doing a lot of walking in woodland and nature reserves at the moment where it is cooler. Due to nesting birds and other wildlife, dogs have to be on short leads) but they are actually perfect for letting them have space to sniff and explore when they can and, because they're comfortable and thin to hold, I can shorten one (when the puppy is annoying my older girl! 😂) or even both and still comfortably hold several loops in one hand.My dogs aren't pullers and I've only used them once so far so can't speak about durability yet. I probably won't remember to come back and update if/when they break to be honest because I have done quite a bit of hand and machine sewing of leads and harnesses and stuff so I'll probably just fix them.There isn't much stretch at all, just a couple of mm, and to the guy whose review mentioned that the stretch is no good because "you need a good slap when you need to give a correction"... Frankly, YOU need a good slap, mate. Then maybe you could join us in the 21st century and learn how to train with reward based methods so you don't NEED to use physical violence, fear or intimidation at all! 🙄I've been training and walking dogs both professionally and as a hobby for about 10 years so I've tried a lot of different leads and honestly these are really great and affordable.

After trying so many options , finally a long leash that is lightweight , long enough ( 10 feet ) and works great for my mini chihuahua puppy in 1/4 inches diameter. Besides, it looks really qualitative and quite elegant !

This lead is very strong and excellent quality.

I've had this leash almost a year now. It's my primary leash used on 2 walks per day. I got the 10 foot version. After a year of heavy use it is still in excellent condition. My dog is 35 lbs and often likes to pull. She has also chewed the leather pieces a bit. I was worried about it coming apart but it has held up extremely well. The clasp where you attach to the collar or harness has seized a few times but a bit of WD40 and it is good as new again. It is comfortable to hold too.
