I had some lower end locks that failed and wound up with a Schlage. Should've just got this from the start. The difference in quality is immediately felt from the moment you open the package to installing it. Very easy to install, didn't even need to read the instructions. The auto locking is nice and can be disabled. The keypad is nicely spaced out with easy to press illuminated buttons. Quality all around, from the mechanical smoothness to the well-implemented electronics.

After years of keep losing the house door keys & lock myself out, I decided to buy a keyless lock. There are many brands of locks out there but Schlage is the best quality brand in the market according to Locksmiths I consulted . Took me 10 min to assemble the lock and I’m not handy at all. The lock Looks stylish and convenient. I bought another one for my side door.

My daughter installed this so I can't speak for how easy it is to install - though I hear she did throw a few curses :) It looks great and works great so far.

I really like Schlage products. They’ve been around for so many years and their customer service is awesome. My problem is that the little wires that attach the front part of the lock to the back part of the lock have a dedicated space to tuck them in, but that dedicated space is nowhere near large enough. It wouldn’t take much to redesign the innards to safely hold the wires in place without pinching it, which is what happened with my first lock and why I had to replace it. That being said, the quality of the lock is awesome and it has never failed in its electronics...well, except when the wire broke in the 1st one. I’m 73 years old, and when I moved into my townhouse a few years ago, I replaced the regular locks with the electronic touch locks where you can program your own codes. They were very easy to install and I had no problem at all.

It works well - very reliable. It is replacing an almost identical one preceding it - after six years and 3 batteries of service when it "gave up the ghost electronically". Care must taken during the install with the wire connector, but not really a problem knowing that.

When it comes to keypad locks, you either get schlage or better. Kwikset is junk. These are easy to install and typically hold up on a residence. Great entry level keypad lock and easy to program.

We set up the whole lock, easy install, but noticed at the end they only sent us 1 handle.The help center clearly says to contact Schlage directly for missing parts. So we did.But that info is wrong as Schlage says they cannot individual missing parts, and that we should contact amazon for help. But we cant start a return. The lock is already installed and the box is gone.I like the lock, but Schlage seriously cant send individual parts in the case they forget one? We have to box the whole thing up and send it in for a refund? How wasteful and inefficient is that?Ill update my review if they can send the rest of what we payed for. But until then im SOL I guess.

Works great. Just as good as $400 ones.
