Most “affordable” gen 3 set up
It’s really cool feels like a super power, I like the ease of use, im also a fan of the fact you can buy surplus mounts for them. They come with a head mounting rig but its slow to put on or remove and the Nods do not tilt out of the way and these cheap bump helmets have counter weights on the back that make wearing them more comfortable. The only thing is not a lot of people own night vision so information can be hard to find if you have questions just call the manufacturer is what I ended up doing.

I am not sure these are new
I got my goggles today. There are 2 dark spots in the field of vision. I have used this brand of night vision goggle before and am pretty sure these are blemishes not dirt. I looked hard when I bought them to try to figure out whether the goggles were new and even bought Asurion insurance for $300 but didn't expect to need it on Day 1. I am sending them back they are too expensive to be flawed out of the box. I cancelled the return I started because it is a hassle with the lithium battery and the requirement is that UPS pick them up. I will restart the return process in a few days when I get back. Very bummed. I waited a long time to buy these.

My new owl bird monitor
Loved every thing. I watched my great horned owl creep up an catch its prey! Really cool thing to have watching nocturnal predators! Love it

First one was used second ok
Second try by Amazon seemed a new one. Very frustrated at this price point no helmet mount. What is comes with has no quick flip up so once it is on it is on for good. No quick way to take off as the head mount is 1980s tech. Uncomfortable and zero quick release for any part of it. Unless you unclip the goggles and now are holding a very expensive piece of equipment.
