This particular USB c to USB A Charging/data cable of 0.9 mtrs ( 3ft) is of very gh quality. Bit thick to ensure high data speed, but works out of box. Highly recomended for charging and high speed data transfer. Looking at this thickness and quality it may be supporting claimed USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds of 10GBps. There is a similar Amazon Basics cable of 3 mtrs length, but it supports USB 2 speeds. Better use this cable, as its of much better quality. Have bought 3 of these and all working for past 1 Year on daily basis. Do not fold the cable too much to ensure longer life.

After purchasing a new iPad Pro I was surprised to see Apple have changed the cable connection so could not sync it with my windows PC. Cable has the standard USB connection on one end and the new USB C type connection on the other. Works perfect and can now connect iPad to iTunes on my PC. Speedy delivery. Very happy with purchase.

I purchased this for data transfer with Samsung Galaxy S10. (because the included Samsung charger cable is only USB 2.0 which only gets about 60MB/s read/write (max of USB 2.0 protocol).I tested this Amazon 3.1 cable and good results:Read: 130 MB/sWrite: 100 MB/s- Which means this really is a USB 3.1 cable, and the S10 really does have USB 3.1 interface, the S10 Flash Storage is the bottleneck here, not the cable.THE CABLE is rather thick, about 2mm thicker in diameter to normal thin USB cables.But it's quite flexible, fine for on desk manipulation; I assume it's just more cost-efficient to produce 3.1 rated cables which are thicker (rather than compressing so many more wires down and meeting standards there), and I have no problem with that, but from the pictures I had not expected it to be thick.Excellent, thank you Amazon Basics!

Good cable for daily use, it is worth its price

Although specs are fantastic for the price, the cable is actually very rigid, likely to be prone to have issues in the long term, if same specs are present in another brand, I would go for the alternative

Thanks to this cable I'm close to the advertised 800MB/s speeds of my SanDisk external SSD, according to the disk benchmark utility. I'm very satisfied with the quality for the price. It's a thick cable, the shielding must be good. It's rigid, as expected, but I'd rather have that than a weak cable prone to transfer losses.According to the Linux command "lsus -t" 10GB/s is indeed the negotiated speed!

Writing this review after 3 days of usage.In terms of quality USB connectors and plastics are really good, but insulation rubber quality can be improved. Data transfer speed is as expected, i was getting around 100-110 MB/s on HDD and 150-210 MB/s on SSD, although it's vary device to device.Charging speed is a bit on slower side. Though Amazon claims upto 3A but i got maximum 1.5A on my OnePlus 6T.

Why is it so hard to just get a cable to charge your phone? There is just too much choice, a lot of the 3rd party no name cables seem good value, but the reviews just aren't that great. The branded cables are overpriced. Luckily, Amazon are to the rescue with an Amazon Basics cable. My number one fear of any cable or charger I buy is that it'll fry my device or burn my house down whilst I sleep, I trust Amazon to provide a product that won't do that. The cable is well built, reliable and not expensive.I use this to charge my phone at work from my PC and it does that job well. 0.9m is the perfect length to reach from the back of my docking station to the phone in front of it.ProsInexpensiveGood build quality (but....)Trusted brandConsCable feels like it's good quality, but because of that it's reall stiff.
