How to walk into church

Straightforward and Inspiring
Having grown up in the faith and gospel, church going was a Sunday tradition. I know I enjoyed it, and wanted to be there. I always knew that it was a place where God would talk to me and others. This book reminds us that We are the church. We are family walking the same journey. We are not only there to receive but to give in the form of encouragement and love. The author provides practical steps we can take before, during and after the gathering that will allow God to use us to be a blessing to his people and leave inspired to love and do good works.

A good encouragement and challenge
Tremendous little book (you can read it in an hour), emphasizing what is most important about connecting with, getting to, and participating in a local church fellowship. I think that it will both confirm what you know is right and challenge you to press on to the next level of prepared, attentive worship. If Tony's vision was how churchgoers really all went to church, we'd leave with a lot more ability to carry the joy and wonder of God into our world. I'd recommend this book for personal growth and small group study (please tell me you don't need prompting questions--just discuss what you've read and what you're going to do about it!).

Good info.
This book has some great info.! However, it may seem basic for people who have studied the role of the church before. Yes, it is important to get back to the basics and this book does a great job at pointing that out. I think it would be best for new church goers and Christians, or someone who is questioning the structure or roles of the church.

Small Book, BIG Impact!
This is a must read book for every Christian! Absolutely love this book! Was looking for some shorter books for my men's group to read and stumbled across "How To Walk Into Church." Totally changed the way they view Sunday mornings. Have since used it in small groups and our church's membership class. I've always got a shelf with these on it to give to people.

How to walk into church
Short and to the point. It changes the focus from "having to go" to realising this is the precursor to heaven. Yes, we've all been on the other side of unkind people at church, both preachers and people in the congregation, but they aren't the reason we go or avoid church... thank heavens! or I'd have quit years ago. We go to worship and the author makes the point very well. We start here on earth and just continue in heaven.

Thoroughly enjoyed this little book and found new meaning of How ...
Wow, a little book, but packed with insightful and eye opening thoughts as to what our expectations and attitudes are, when we walk through the doors of our church on Sunday morning (these could actually apply many situations where we walk in to church). Thoroughly enjoyed this little book and found new meaning of How to walk into church. Thank you, Tony Payne, for this new awareness.

A little book, but thought provoking.
I'm not sure the subject has been addressed before, but after reading this tiny book, I'm convinced more Christians should give it some thought. I got the Kindle version. You can easily read this in one sitting.

Simple yet profound truths!!!
This book was recommended by my pastor, it was a very quick and easy read. The lessons and topics covered were rather simple yet carried the profound truth of scripture. I love books like that. Ones that speak simply and directly to the heart of its message with the backing of Gods word....this book does that perfectly

Short but Really Rich
The title may sound like a strange one but once you've read first few pages, it makes perfect sense. It's a book about our attitude to church; the people in it and the God Who is worshipped there. It challenges us to look at how we can thoughtfully approach all aspects of church, from the moment we begin to think of going to the moment we leave and beyond. If you have any inclination to set foot in a church, you should read this book!

A fresh look at our attitude to church worship.
Our church is using this book for the Men's Breakfast meeting, and finding it stimulating. It reminds us to be welcoming to visitors, and to consider how we can help others in the congregation, rather than attending out of habit and to only satisfy our own desires. Also, we are reminded we are mainly coming to worship God, not to attend a social club. This will enhance our church life and worship.

Great Primer for New and Seasoned Christian
Great primer on how we should approach gathering as the people of God. The church has sadly become more like the theater or mall and this book helps us think biblically about the glory and privilege of "church". I would also highly recommend Jeremiah Burrows' "Gospel Worship" as a companion.
