Flimsy plastic not bone and the pointed end is far too thick for a folders. Falsely advertised as a bone folder. Should be called Plastic Junk.

These should be called "Plastic Folders." There is no bone in them, and it is a misrepresentation. When paper folding tools are made from other materials they are called "Obsidian Folder,"or "Ivory Folder (illegal now)..."The plastic these are made from is flexible, and not rigid like cattle bone. The edges are squared off at the tip, and will tear through paper when you are trying to emboss a line for a tight crease. After sanding, and shaping the end, and edges for 15 minutes I was able to make one of these passable. As a teacher I need a classroom set, and there is no way I would put that much work into shaping cheap pieces of plastic that could have been made better to start with.As it is I have 4 of these that are currently reshaped, and in the box with my actual "bone" folders. I will have to be more careful to read the description instead of assuming that "Bone" folders are made of bone. My mistake, but really calling them "bone" is asking for this to happen.

They’re sturdy and they definitely scor BUT the tip and the sides are too thick for all of my scoring boards! I have 3! Others i have had didn’t have that problem at all. I make it work, but I Kinda wish they fit into the grooves of the scoring boards as easily as the others and these barely do. I have to use a stylus which I don’t always like to use depending on what kind of paper whereas these are usually easier on the paper. So I guess it depends if your scoring boards have bigger spaces then mine!

Wish I had read the reviews rather than buying the cheapest bone folders I could find. *sigh* Yes, these are entirely too thick to use with your scoring boards (I have the Martha Stewart one, doesn't work with this one). But because they are sturdy they work great for flattening an already scored card or if you're just folding something without scoring these are great for that purpose. By the way, when they say "bone" folder they of course do not mean they're real bone. Please!

I'm new to paper folding, so maybe all bone folders are as thick as this one. It feels very sturdy in the hand, and I like that it came with four- I'm always loosing stuff in my couch. Prior to getting these bone folders, I was using a plastic to-go knife, so the wider tip was a little awkward at first, but I'm getting the hang of it now.

As an educator, I use a lot of games, cards, and hands-on activities, most of which I make from printing out materials on various teacher websites. Which means I use a lot of paper, cardstock and packing TAPE. And the tape gets a lot of bubble that need smoothed out. I remembered that my librarian friend used bone folders to smooth tape on books, so I started looking for one. I was VERY pleased that I could get 4 bone folders at a VERY GOOD price. And the quality is wonderful. They are sturdy and so easily smooth out the tape bubbles! Exactly what I needed!

Great price. I brought just one for the price of four. It's a deal. The quality is great. I use it for creating collages and it works 100% . Now I don't have to go insane looking for it when I replace one..good feel and very sterdy..great for bookmaking. Great value and quality

I was hoping to use these with my trimmer for scoring but they are too thick and cumbersome to fit in the cutting path. They are super sturdy though. So for the price and quantity I didn't find it necessary to return them. They are great for nice, crisp creases. I'm sure they'll see me through many card creations.
