601 Great Scrapbook Ideas Paperback – November 21, 2007

I am just becoming involved with digital scrapbooking and although I have a long history of involvement with tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, I'm not well versed in scrapbooking techniques. Nor, frankly, do I have the imagination to conceive of free-flowing, often spontaneous layouts as so many of the practitioners featured in this book do. It is one thing to design catalogs, brochures, ads and other promotional materials - and another thing altogether to design cool scrapbooking pages. The editors asked their readers to submit their scrapbok pages (traditional and digital), received thousands and chose these 601. This is not a book of instructions, but of examples. To make use of the examples, you will have to know know scrapbooking techniques or be willing to experiment and learn how to achieve the effects in the examples. The editors do, helpfully, provide a list of the supplies that went into each layout, an essential since many of the layouts use embellishments which aren't necessarily clear from the pictured layouts. Overall, this is a treasure chest of scrapbooking layout ideas. You can't put this book down without having an idea or two for your next creation.Jerry

I am a beginner scrapbooker, but I must say that Memory Makers books are by far the best! I own five different Memory Makers idea books, and I LOVE THEM!! You can't go wrong (with any of them). There are so many creative and unique layout designs, embellishment and journaling ideas, and the page titles... you can really use all of the ideas in their books, and add your personal touch to make a page truly your own. For all who scrap on a budget (like me), there are TONS, and I mean TONS, of ideas to put all of your odds and ends to good use!! This book and all of the other Memory Makers books out there, have really taken my creativity in scrapbooking to the next level...

This scrapbooking book is primarily filled with a multitude (601?) of photos of actual scrapbook pages. There are many examples that should generate loads of projects.However, there are no instructions for any of the pages or techniques, and most of the photos are rather small, especially if you are visually challenged in any way (get out the magnifying glass).The book is a good resource, but if you are looking for instructional techniques, recommend you choose a different book. If you are just looking for ideas, then this will be a great book to add to your collection.

Most of the layouts are far too elaborate for my taste, but there are some good ideas scattered throughout. I am going through page by page and marking or indicating each idea that I might find useful later on.

This book has excellent layout ideas with up to date colors and patterns in every page. When I scrapbook, I like to put more than one picture on a page and this book has several layouts that show multiple pictures. I love the boxes on some pages that point out different scrapbooking tips that were used in the layout. Love this book!

This book will be handy for scrapbook beginners or for those who have been scrapbooking for awhile. I am not a novice but I am also not a professional. The book however was very interesting for me. I can read it and get new ideas on using embellishments and etc.So if you are needing new ideas get this book and begin your journey into the scrapbooking world.

Loved the easy layouts in categories. Fun and inspiring layouts for scrapbookers of all levels.

Amazing! I do scrapbook but sometimes I get in a rut & can't find any new ideas. This book is AMAZING!! I hate reading but this book has photos to fallow for ideas. Ideas are endless in this book. A book every scrapbooker booker should own this!!! Even if your a beginner this book is for you. It helps so much

Es ist wie ich es erwartet hatte, ein sehr schönes Buch mit vielen tollen Ideen, auch wenn es hier und da nur ne Kleinigkeit ist.

This book does what it says on the tin - page after page of lovely layouts to enjoy and gain inspiration from. Other reviewers who have slated this book because it doesn't provide step-by-step instructions ought to have read the cover blurb a bit more carefully!

SBを初めて１年くらいの私。段々いろいろなテクニックや他の人のアイデアをパクりたくて購入！！タイトル通り６０１作品が載っており、かつ男の子の写真のレイアウト、ハロウィンのレイアウトなどのジャンルごとに分かれているから見やすいし、自分のLOつくりに煮詰まったらこの本からヒントが見つかると思いますよ。SB好きには見るだけで、時間がつぶれます！

Gives a great overall picture of building a scrapbook page for all occasions? Plenty of inspiration to keep scrapping for ages.

Ich bin ja eher noch der Beginner beim Scrapbooken - aber dieses Buch ist für mich ein "must have" geworden. Es gibt so viele tolle Anregungen darin, einfach nur toll. Immer wieder blättere ich das Buch gerne durch, und hole mir daraus Ideen.
