Great for strongman and cross training workouts. Build strength and endurance. Handle holds up to 400 lbs. of olympic weights. Might not fit close tolerance plates. Bar has non slip paint, very light knurling. The bar is 80" long. Fixed collars are 50.5" apart so you can place on power or squat rack. 2" square tubing frame. Distance between the handle grips are listed in the picture. Due to large size, some scratching may occur in shipping. Bar weighs about 25 lbs., weight listed below is only for realistic shipping calculations. We also sell 45 lb bumper plates.

Definitely a budget bar but happy with it overall
I researched every swiss bar I could find on the internet, probably around a dozen. I initially set out with the intent to spend money on a high quality bar, but for various reasons I wasn't satisfied with what I found. Either shipping was ridiculously high, or the bars required special collars (there's no reason in my opinion that simple spring collars shouldn't suffice for any bar). That's when I happened on this bar. While initially the lower price was a bit of a red flag (can a cheap bar be any good?), the reviews convinced me that this was the bar for me. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. While you can tell it's a budget bar, I think it will be more than sufficient for my needs. While I was only planning to use it for bench press, I've found it's great for overhead pressing as well as isolation movements for biceps/triceps. The only thing I don't really like it for is rows - because of the bar's shape, it has to be held out further from the body and puts extra stress on my back that is quite uncomfortable. If there were one thing I could change about the bar, it would be nice if the inner collars were spaced about 1-2 inches further out to allow for easier racking, and to help ensure plates don't hit the rack during pressing. I suppose depending on your power rack you might not have an issue, but with my rack I've got maybe an inch of wiggle room on either side and every now and then I'll hit the J-hooks at the top of a rep.

Good alternative up to 250 lbs
This is a hollow bar. It weighs 21 lbs. I purchased it because a straight bar causes pain in both of my shoulders when I bench press. It is well designed and constructed. The welds are solid. So far, I have worked up to 194 lbs and have had no concerns. If you are a brute of a man and are pushing 300 lbs I would purchase a solid Swiss bar for safety reasons. The price was excellent. I have been using it going on two years now and I love it.

sturdy swiss bar
Think of it as a rackable super-curl bar. Adds some instability to your workout; for me it ends up working my forearms as an ulnar deviation would. Sleeves are slightly thinner than an Olympic bar and very slick, so use collars and make sure they grip a slick bar tight. Nope, just measured... Exactly 50mm, so just VERY slick. The sleeves have caps that are a few mm over 50mm, so I had to sand them down. That was incredibly lame. I don't want to fix my equipment before I can use it. Very sturdy feeling and I would trust it as much as a cheap 7' bar. I'm happy with it. If I had to guess at it's weight limit, I'd say 250lbs, but manufacturer says 400lbs. The fixed inner collars are as wide as a 7' Olympic bar, so shouldn't have any problem racking it, however the tube is 2", not 1", so may rest less securely on your rack. the inner collars are welded on the handle side, thus smooth on the weighs side, allowing for plates to not rattle. Bar seems to be straight. There is metal shavings or something in the rectangular bar, making for a maraca effect when i rotate or lift it. Took off a cap and yes, it's not in the sleeve section, and the two sections are not open to each other. No mistakes in welding that I've found, and painting is fairly good. Good buy. Next choice up would be the Gronk or Rogue.STATS:- 1.25" (32mm) thick handles, perfect for larger hands, but not too big to be fat grips- 1" x 2" (25mm x 52mm) rectangular tubing- 50mm sleeves (non rotational)- 20.7lbs (9.4kg), not the ~25lbs stated... not even with collars

Very good well made product
Very good well made product! Perfect for a home gym and this particular bar has many applications. If your bored with your regular gym routine or are looking for something different that's still in your comfort zone without drastically changing your routines then give the Swiss bar a try. Very good tool to have in your weapons locker. I'm pleased with both the quality, performance, and speed at which it arrived at my door. It was here in 3 days?!?!?! I'm impressed so far.

Good quality, unbeatable price..
No complaints, purchased this a month or so ago. It's been nice as a variation to a standard bar. For the price it can't be beat.. I purchased mostly rogue equipment from my garage gym but this was an afterthought, the rogue multi grip bars sell for $245-275 ish before shipping. We use it for bench press, shoulder press, rows, curls, skull crushers.. It's just a versatile piece of equipment, overall good quality.. I'd buy it again or recommend it to a friend..

Very well constructed. The only reason it got a four stars instead of five is because the end caps do not really fit.
