OMG. That sums this applicator up. It worked wonders, giving me tan-free hands for once!

The design of this applicator is nice and I like that it locks into an open position. I found myself using the blue sponge side more than the black side, but the blue sponge is a bit too small and fell off after about 3-5 uses (and cannot be reattached). Obviously not very durable.

First, and probably most important is, I still cannot access my entire back with this device. It's probably on me for getting older and less limber but it is advertised as assisting with back application. The first use went very smoothly despite my reach problems. I waited a little over a week to use it again and while cleaning the pad, I noticed the material separating from the pad. Granted, it includes two replacement pads, but if you have to replace them after two uses, I sure can't see this endeavor lasting very long. (And yes, I thoroughly cleaned and rinsed the pad after the first use and air-dried as recommended). The overall design is very good and seems sturdy. Just wish it was a little longer and the pad stayed together longer.

This is a game-changer. I’ve always struggled to get an even tan on my back, and this applicator makes it so easy. The material is super soft and blends my tanner smoothly with no streaks. I can finally self-tan without begging someone to help!

Used this for the 1st time yesterday and I won’t be using it again.. The sponge is so flat that the edges end up rubbing against your skin, so you have to keep going back to make sure the tan is even again.. The handle isn’t long enough, so you’re risking pulling a muscle trying to reach the middle of your back and between your shoulder blades.. (and I’m tiny, 115lbs and I have good reach) This wasn’t easy to use and I kept getting frustrated having to keep going over the same spots because it would mess-up the tan.. In my opinion, this isn’t worth the headache or the pulled muscles..

Maybe my arms are too short, but this barely reaches the areas on my back i need. Easy to use, lightweight, and folds down to store, but not worth the money. Would rather have someone apply tanning lotion to my back, or going without. The tanning mitt is exceptional, and the idea behind this was very good, just doesn't work well for me.
