Picatinny Rail Adapter Mount for Beretta 92/96 / M9

I purchased this for a friend's Beretta and was trying to help him set it up. We mounted a flashlight laser combination on this rail which is below the barrel and co-witnessed it with a red dot that was on target and in the regular sight position. To try to align these, we rested the laser flashlight on a rest and co-witnessed it to the reddot.If you shot it from the rest it was on target but off the rest it was shooting quite high. After quite a bit of examination, we realized that this railmount leaves a gap between the rail and the gun frame so that when not resting on something it springs away from the frame about 3/32 of an inch and therefore causes the gun to shoot high. We realize that this is not made to be shooting from a rest but are unhappy with the flexibility of the rail and the distance it is from the pistol frame to allow this movement. It is made of some type of composite so there is a degree of flexibility to this mount. We were able to get it adjusted so that both sites were zeroed on target but you are able to push up on the front of the laser mounted to this rail and in doing so we are not sure how long the two will stay co-witnessed. To be clear, we are aware they will only stay co-witnessed at one distance because parallax comes into play when you move from the distance where you were able to zero. We fought this for a couple of range sessions until we realized the flexibility in the rail system. We are both very experienced shooters, the person who wanted to use this regularly shoots competition so it was frustrating until we discovered the flexibility of the mount.

moves around too much. Would be acceptable for a flashlight mount, but not a laser mount.

This thing works great if you adjust it right. There's a little set screw that needs to be tight against the trigger guard. Adjust that and this thing works perfectly.

Do not buy this garbage. I wouldn’t be upset if it was a $5 or $15 purchase because that is what it’s worth. It doesn’t fit and will cause you more of a headache trying to make it work than it’s worth.

It seems more like an assessory for a toy gun. It does not secure well so the laser moves and is impossible to make accurate. Will be returning it.

Don't waste your money. It doesn't fit properly. It angles downward.I only gave it one star because I had to in order to post.
