It’s a good product but not for all hair types. I bought this for my daughters hair type as we have Caribbean black hair.

I have thin hair. It is wavy (not exactly curly) and fine and there isn't much of it when gathered into a pony despite the fact that its almost waist length.I tried this product months ago when it first arrived and hated it...but I had used it on dry or mostly dry hair in an attempt to tame some frizz.Note here: I have used the CGM for almost 2 years now and literally NOTHING tames my frizz. You'd honestly think that I had spirals from the amount of frizz I suffer through, but I don't. I just have high porosity hair that is literally IMPOSSIBLE to keep hydrated and balanced. It's either super dry and frizzy, super greasy and limp, or a strange combination of both...arrrggg...Anyways, I took this out of the closet yesterday and decided to give it another try before chucking it in the trash...lo and behold, it actually worked this time!I used a dime sized amount and rubbed it between my hands before using it to scrunch my dripping wet waves from tips to roots. Then I scrunched out the excess water and plopped my hair in a flat weave towel for 20 minutes before shaking it out and clamping my hair up wet to go run errands.Later that night, I took out the clamp and my hair was still wet, but; as it dried, I realized that it was SUPER soft and shiny. My hair also felt heavy...does that make sense? Not heavy as in weighed down (because my waves were definitely "popping" and holding their shape), but heavy as in heathy...soft, silky, smooth, malleable (whereas my hair is normally sorta straw-like and stiff/puffy) with almost ZERO frizz anywhere to be seen!I can only assume that this product had actually locked some of that moisture from the shower into my hair (we always hear that..."lock in moisture" but; until now, I had no idea that there were products that actually DID that like they say they will - and lord knows I've tried stupid amounts of products, tips, hacks, DIY, etc., over this 2 year CG journey and gotten nothing but frustration for my efforts most times).Unbelievable!No residue, no flaking, no crunching, not sticky, and not greasy.So, yeah, I will be trying this again and using up this bottle of product instead of chucking it in the trash for sure.On a side note: I think it smells gross...sorta like fermented tropical fruit, but my daughter told me that she could smell my hair as I shook it out of its plop and she said it smelled really good...so maybe it's just me who thinks it smells funky.
