Lightswitch Blue Victorian Birdhouse Rustic Decor Switch Plate Cover

I get lots of compliments on the look of it. The walls are peachy colored and make a nice background for it. Don't know if it's the product or my wall (earthquake zone), but no matter how tight I screw it in, there is a pretty big gap between the switch plate and the wall. I feel like this could be a safely issue for little fingers and curious minds.
