I grill nearly every day and smoke a couple times a month. Being a carnivore, I seem to get cranky if I don't get about a pound of meat a day. We keep a pantry of different rubs, seasonings, marinades and sauces. Most of the time, I either rely solely on Montreal Steak Seasoning or use it as a base adding other nuance flavors. Actually, I am quite happy to use it by itself given the Texas Salt and Pepper penchant. There is also a blend of other spices in the ingredients which adds to the back flavors and overall appeal. We love it on all forms of beef from Brisket to Skirt Steak, Pork, Chicken and as a change up on Fish and Vegetables. It is truly a joy to have a product such as this that is so versatile.I find that a lighter application on quick grilling meat and lighter yet on fish & vegetables works best due to the intensity, but on slow smoked brisket and the like, I use it as a rub.Great Product!

Great for beef, lamb, and mushrooms.
A great general seasoning for beef roasts, steak, hamburger, stew; leg or rack of lamb; mushroom dishes. Easy to spoon out or sprinkle in. A generous quantity for a reasonable price. I buy it multiple times a year and always have it available.

I would never use on steak
I have been using this to make hoagie buns. The best I've ever tasted. 1 1/2 tablespoon in the bread machine and a little extra yeast. That's the best. I can't keep the buns in the house. They are gone pretty much that day

The ONLY seasoning I ever put on steak.
This is the best seasoning around for beef of any kind. Roast beef on the grill, rib steak, burger, you name it! I never use anything in addition, like steak sauce or ketchup (Yuck!!) on any decent quality meat, because this is the only seasoning you need to enhance the flavor of beef! This is the best brand I've tried. Nothing beats it.

This makes steak amazing!
This stuff is amazing! My brother prepared steaks one night that were better than most I have had in restaurants. He coated fillets with soy sauce and then a generous coating of this and all 10 people at the table were amazed at how delicious they were. This was the secret!
